Plank is good, but the scratches come easy
I like the look of a long plank. Be aware that it scratches very easy. Around the locking mechanism, I am not sure if the interlocking method is the easiest or the best way to go. I know there you have the grip and strip or the glue down floors. The interlocking method is nice, but the installer was always fussing when he had to install the plank underneath the wall. Also, if you have a broken plan in the middle of the hallway, well, you then have to uninstall most of the hallway to get it out due to the interlocking mechanism; I don't think the other methods have this challenge.
