AT THE BEGINNING ONE HEART REMAINED
Wallflowers: One Heart Remains by CP Smith is the third book in the Wallflowers series. There are three Wallflowers (well Bernice and Eunice are honorary Wallflowers I would say), and so at the beginning of the book (yes I am going there) one heart remained. That heart belonged to Poppy and what a beautiful heart. Would Nate want to or be able to win her heart? Well you know I am not going to tell you. You have to read the book. It is a book that you are going to not only want to read but to devour. Make sure that you have the time to read it as once you begin you will not want to put it down. Wallflowers: One Heart Remains is simply stellar.Poppy and Nate are both broken souls that are that way for different reasons. Again, I will not tell you why or give you any hints as I do not want to deprive you finding out anything for yourself. I am happy to tell you however, that I love the Wallflowers series. I love Calla, Sienna and Poppy. I love the family this group lead by the Wallflowers has made. The Wallflowers have a special place in my heart as does this series. As I mentioned, I love Calla and Sienna, but after reading this book Poppy has become my favorite of the three. If you knew my love for the other two then saying she has become my favorite would really give you an indication of the place she holds. She is special for so many different reasons. I love her wit, determination and fire. I love Devin, Bo, and now Nate has tied with Bo as my favorite of the alpha hunks from this series. I want to also state as an aside that I love all of CP Smith's alphas. I have stated many times previously that she is one of the best at writing alphas. Nate and Bo are tied with Jack and Max from her Reason series (a must read series if you have not already done so, well all of her books are must reads in my opinion) as my favorites of her alphas. I liked Nate before this book began, but he is so freaking swoonworthy that he stole my heart. In otherwords, he is Hot with a capital Holy Hotness (let me say also Holy Hotness do I love the smexy times in this book). He is also sweet, tender, protective and loyal. So you have been forewarned because he will steal your heart too. While technically you could probably read this book as a standalone, I do not recommend it. You will miss way to much by not reading the first two books in this series to just pick up with book 3. Not to worry though because this series is spectacular so you will be happy to read the other two books. CP Smith has a way of weaving a story that is romantic, has suspense, smexy times, laugh out loud humor, and she creates characters that are unforgettable. No matter how many times I re-read her books they never get tired or stale for me. It is one of my all time favorite series and I will be enjoying re-reading it for many years to come. Now while we wait for Until Joe which is going to be Bernice and Joe's book (again, not giving you anything you have to read this book to learn more) in April of 2019, sit back with your favorite bottle of wine, a hot beverage or whatever your drink of choice is and find a special place to curl up and read and enjoy all that is incredible, sensational and magnificent about Wallflowers: One Heart Remains.

Another good one!
Really enjoyed this installment of the Wallflowers, Poppy and Nate were so sweet together. As with the other books in this series there are several scenes that made me laugh out loud. It was interesting that the whole series takes place in only two weeks....that's some instalove right there!! The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the author's little political digs about the media - the villain in this story is a reporter and is definitely off her rocker, but the comments about how the media is only interested in their version of the truth was, in my opinion, not necessary. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed this, and can't wait for whatever Ms. Smith has next!

One heart in need of a hero, one hero looking for redemption...5 stars
I’m a fan of this author’s work in general and this series in particular. Honestly, I think every time she puts words on a page she gets better and better. This book is the third in The Wallflowers series. Each book covers a separate couple and that couple’s romance is given closure at the end of their books. That being said, these are not what I would consider stand alone. There’s an overarching plotline and the couples are far too entwined in their friendships to be entirely separate stories. If you are new to the series, start with Wallflowers Three of a Kind.Ok, now for Poppy and Nate’s book. I’m going to pop in a trigger warning here under mild spoilers. This trigger is outside of the relationship. The relationship is 100% safe but if you are like me and you have your own dragons as Poppy does...Mild spoiler Poppy was molested as a child. The subject is an intregal part of the storyline. It is NOT depicted graphically, it is not gratuitous...it is heart breakenly real and portrayed with sensitivity and a fairly realistic view of how this might affect her intimate relationships. This author has my utmost respect in not glossing over this subject or treating the romance as a panacea for childhood trauma. Limited by the length of the overall book, it was nonetheless given due weight even if we all know that in real life it might take longer ;)What I loved and what made it a 5 star read to me:Poppy! So strong and so broken. Her sarcasm that comes off adorably nerdy instead of hard and cynical. The Wallflowers! Their strength, their loyalty, their clueless heroism that asserts itself despite all their fears and insecurities. These are not pseudo wallflowers playing at being quirky. Our ladies were born bringing the quirk and with spines of pure steel. Cross one...cross them all! Hurrah for sisterhood in books. Nate! What can I say about this beautiful man who puts aside his own demons to help heal his woman’s soul. Clueless Nate who thinks he’s not worthy of the good life, that his bad blood will eventually tell. Who discovers that when you heal a soul sometimes, if you’re very lucky, they return the gift in full measure. Nate and Poppy together! They stumble through their relationship building without any idea how it’s done...and yet...they still manage to get it just right. Steamy when called for and all the sweet swoon worthy moments in between. I loved how they loved each other. This book took me a bit by surprise. I thought I knew what a Wallflower book was supposed to read like. What I learned is that all Wallflowers are different and their stories are their own. Is it perfect? No, there are things I could nitpick and quibble over. Plot points I wanted to be drawn out a little longer etc etc. Is it a perfectly imperfect story about two human beings coming together to let the world know that yes...they are much more than the sum of their parts? Yeah it is and I loved every single minute of it!Brass TacksSteamy from the get go but a slow burn with the first love scene coming just after the 60% mark.A bit of dirty talking, graphic language but not filthy...Wallflowers don’t cuss...their men...lol yeahRelationship safeRead the spoiler above for triggersSlight OW drama with an old friend. The H was never with her and he made it clear right away that he was taken and reassured our h in front of OW (le...sigh)Third in the series thus farHFN but very satisfyingNo epilogue for the couple...a peak at the next book insteadI bought this book. I reviewed it for myself and my opinions are most definitely my own!

Beautiful
Absolutely love all of C P Smith's books but Wallflower series has to be a favourite of mine , so could not wait to get my hands on this book , it did not disappoint ! My favourite Hero still has to be Devin but Nate certainly comes in a close second . All three books are pure poetry , they have everything an alpha hero , feisty heroines , real honest pain and laugh out loud moments and the way C P Smith writes is so beautiful , don't know what to read next .

Five Amazing StarsI was absolutely thrilled to receive book three, from the amazing Wallflower Series : One Heart Remains. I have been so excited to read this next most beautiful, romantic, most exciting tale. Written by the wonderful and most amazing author, CP Smith! As Nate Jacobs tells of this dreadful, sad story of the past. He tells of the emotional story how his father abandoned and completely rejected him too. Telling his love, Poppy Gentry. This life together will be completely different. But Nate will be stronger now than in the past.Poppy was such a brilliant character too. Their relationship bloomed throughout this entire book. Such a wonderful, beautiful love story this is.I completely adored this most marvellous book. I thoroughly enjoyed all the magnificent characters too. This was brilliant wonderful romance too!Congratulations CP Smith!* I recommend this book to everyone!!

Awesome series
adore these girls. The Wallflowers are an inspiring and amusing trio that get you hooked on their stories. My heart broke for Poppy, all that she had endured. I loved the chemistry and love between these two. It was off the charts hot! Nate endures his own Hell and to become the strong and amzing man he is, deserves the love of a special Wallflower like Poppy. This story takes so many twists and turns I was hooked from the first page to the last. Awesome book and series

Exactly what I hoped for
Really love this author, REALLY loved this series. I enjoyed all 3 books, this was a perfect ending. I know it's not deep or meaningful but it is lovely escapism which is precisely why I read romantic books, this author writes them really well!
