Horizon HPS-110 110 lbs by 0.1 oz digital postal scale

I usually ship packages ranging from 12 x 12 x 12 to 28 x 18 x 12 and weighing up to 30lbs. I needed a scale with a remote display in order to be able to see the readout with a large box on the platform. My previous scale was a Saga Mercury Pro 86 which was virtually useless because the hold function rarely worked and I couldn't see the display. How anyone can use this thing to weigh boxes up to 80lb beats me. After reading a lot of negative reviews regarding other digital scales with remote display I kept on searching and found this one. I called ANYVOLUME with some questions that I had and was answered by a very knowledgeable lady who was not only familiar with the scale but actually uses the very same one to ship her company's packages. My order was placed at 1.41pm, was shipped at 2.28pm the same day and arrived in the mail just 4 days later. Free shipping too! Within 10 minutes of opening it up I had my first large box on the platform and was delighted with the result. At Last... a scale that works. I tried several know weights and it appears to very accurate and stable. It is well made and has substantial weight compared to the Saga and others that I have now relegated to the dumpster. The display is bright and clear but like all LCD devices, you need to viewing square on or it will fade out. It worked right out the box and apart from setting the time on the clock there was nothing else needed. The distributor says that they test every scale before shipping and I believe them as the batteries were already installed and there were ever so slight marks on the platform indicating that a weight had been placed on it. I can't yet attest to the reliability but the 5 year warranty is comforting plus, at the price and with free, it was well worth the risk.

Pretty cheesy plastic etc. That being said. It works Great! Plus, I dare you to get a better price on a similar scale.
