It was interesting but lacked depth and structure
The author broke up the book into three categories which I loved and the stories chosen we're great. But the writing overall I felt lacked depth in cases. I am not sure if it was done in the effort to reduce the size of the book, but I felt there were areas that were left open ended outside of the count of the victim and their upbringing. As for the structure of the retelling it was could have been better. There were a couple of stories that jumped back and forth between events, confusing names of assailants, are just a few things that stood out to me. Overall not a bad read, I enjoyed the selection of subjects chosen and their categorization.

Accurate but Frustrating
The stories are well-told and accurate, but I found the book a little frustrating. It tends to skate over a lot of the highly relevant issues relating to the subject (children who kill). It fails to mention, let alone discuss, the impact or effects many of these cases had on people peripheral but vital to the cases. For example, there's the story of the boy who shot his extremely abusive father to death. We know what happened to the boy, but no mention is made of the numerous other adults in the case. What happened to the mother who sent the boy to live with the father (despite having left him for precisely that reason)? What about the school officials who questioned the boy about the abuse WITH THE FATHER SITTING BESIDE HIM, because they "didn't like him"? We don't know; this book never touches on it.

The weights moved around in the box and crushed and bent this book.
The book seems to be a straight presentation of facts and not much psychological insight. The photos are a nice addition. We will keep the book in spite of it being dented and bent by the 3 pound weights it was sent with…not a good idea to put books in with loose heavy items. Take note, please, Amazon people who box items.

Packed full of information! Well written & easy to read!
Perfect tittle for this book!! The stories in this book are about some very violent, chilling, horrifying & disturbed people! There are 21 stories, each featuring a different killer or killers. Author RJ Parker gives background on the killer(s). Some were raised in good & loving families, making it harder to understand just went wrong to make someone commit Cold Blooded murder. Others were often abused emotionally, physically & sexually by the very people that should have loved & protected them. One, knew there was something wrong that was causing him to have horrible thoughts. So much so that he asked in his suicide note that they autopsy his brain in hopes that someone understands. (It was discovered during the autopsy that Charles Joseph Whitman, aka The Clock Tower Sniper did have a brain tumor)! Read about kids that killed their parents, a mass hostage crisis, school shootings, massacres & more! If you like true crime you will probably find this book fascinating!!

Calm, collected and cold-blooded
Cold-blooded killers are calm and collected --- no excitement, no anger, just taking care of business. The killers in this book, especially the spree killers, have already made up their minds to kill with no intention of facing the consequences. Others have said, Okay, that's enough. I'm not taking this anymore. And the Russian school hostage situation was a complete fiasco. That story wouldn't even make a decent disaster movie. It was just an epic fail.A few of these will send me looking for more of the story while others provided just the right amount of information.

PLAGIARIZED:DO NOT SUPPORT AUTHOR
THIS BOOK HAS BEEN PLAGIARIZED-for those who may not know what this means plagiarism is where someone accepts credit for a work not their own-AND THE AUTHOR HAS BEEN REPORTED TO AMAZON AND THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS "BOOK" AND GIVE THIS THIEF ANY MONEY!I thought this book might be interesting, so I purchased it. However, upon reading just a few pages, I was certain I had read it before a long while back. Discussing it with a friend and reading her parts of the book, we came to the same realization: this was a paper we had read in a class during college. Sure enough, when I googled passages from the "book", it came back to a paper written in the 1990's, as well as a few other sources. The book sample listed by amazon is that particular paper, word for word. Making matters worse, there is not even a bibliography included, citing any sources used.I hope the author of this book is really the author of the research paper, writing under a different name. If it is not, this author should get ready for a visit from the authorities, and be prepared for a large fine or (at worst) jail time. Please do not purchase this book and give the "author" your hard earned money. Simply read the paper-legally-on line, for free.

The truth and nothing left out!
I love true stories and yes I get interested in whatever became of different criminals and want to know where, who, what and when they got caught, trials, if they died was it fate or at their own hands or was it a twist of luck that justice took care of them. I find that RJ Parker is interested in the same things as we all are but we are afraid to ask or to lazy to find out what happened. I love that we have some place to go and find the undisputed truth about these people. It have copies out on my coffee table and find my guest reading them and a little startled at first but the want to take them home. I turn them to kindle to get they own copies.... Lol !!! RJ, keep up the great work, I can't wait to get more of your juicy undercover answers so we the public know the truth!

Content Great But EBook Quality Not
I am an avid reader of True Crime and this book shares alot of info on cases that are familiar as well as Many cases that are new to me.I am very disappointed with the quality of this ebook. Many many pages do not start where the prior page ended, grrrrrr frustrating. Seem to missing the last sentence or part of sentence way to often. have tried different font sizes did not help the situation. Am so disappointed I am only up to the 6th or 7th and this issues is getting me to the point that I may not continue.Anyone have any suggestions that could cure the problem?

Truly horrific
We watch nasty films about murder, but nothing can prepare us for what goes on in the mind of a true murderer. This book profiles a few of the most notorious killers and shows what they felt and believed before carrying out their gruesome crimes. I can only say, there but for the Grace of God go I, for I also know what it is to grow up bullied and hated. May God give peace to all the survivors. This is not a comfortable read.

awful
The writing is simplistic, confused and boring. I gave up very quickly on the first book so cannot comment on the others. There are also a lot of typos.
