Smells bad, works like a dream!
This stuff cleans anything which has baked on grease or cooking residue. I seriously LOVE it. I often cook fish on the stove top and finish it a hot oven. That makes for some seriously cooked on olive oil. I have rescued cookie sheets, nonstick pans, and those pans with the annoying grooves on the bottom - items which would have otherwise been on their way out of my kitchen because I can't stand that kind of grunge on my pans. You know - like around the attachment of the handle to the pan? Make sure you read and follow instructions. For example, use it with a fan on, or a window open. It like to use sisal basting brushes with wooden handles - avoid plastic anything since the product will disolve it. If you're serious about getting crud off your stove grates, BBQ grill, pans or whatever, this is the product to do it without scrubbing for hours.

Zap those pans and pots clean.
Powerful.. and effective. Use in vented environment. I treated my pans outside and rinsed outside when done. Wear proper eye and shin protection.

Can't get the can open!
This is a great product. It reall does clean baked on and carbonized foods. I am only giving it a 3 star because I have consistently found it impossible to remove the lid. I always wind up poking a hole in the top with a can opener then putting foil over the opening to close it. But the prodct itself is very good.

Couldn't get cap off, even with a pipe wrench. Need a hole punch, waste of money down the drain.
When I needed to use this after several months, the cap would not come off. I tried everything, including using a huge pipe wrench while pushing down with all of my 192 pound body weight. Now the cap just spins - it doesn't move.It does not matter how well the product would hypothetically work, if you can't get the darn container open after sitting on the shelf for a few months. Design fail.I mean, this isn't the sort of product a person typically needs to use every day, and it's far too late to return this piece of junk.I guess I will punch a hole in the container and get one use out of it.Waste of money.

DIsappointing
I was looking for something to take the carbonized food remains off a baking sheet. As you can see from the photos, this stuff helped, but the pan is still mostly covered with carbonized oil and looks funky. This is after a 24-hour soak with Sokoff. Maybe if I applied it a few more times.... But for $24 I expected better.

Great Product
I used this on a broiler pan that a friend brought over for a cookout. I had tried to clean the pan with oven cleaner, steel wool, and sandpaper. It was almost solid black with baked on grease. The directions on the can said to leave it on for fifteen minutes to a few hours. After ten minutes I just had to see if it was working. As soon as I started scrubbing with a scratchy pad I could see the grease coming right off. After a few more applications and a little scrubbing the pan looks like new. I have used the Sokoff on my oven, grill, and any pan that gets a little build up. It's a good idea to use gloves when using the product because it does burn if it touches the skin. I'm going to order another can.

Sokoff Review
I used it on some of our pots and pans at the firehouse. It cleaned off baked on cooking oil and overspill pretty well. I let the pots sit for about a half hour and then used a wire brush which did get a lot of stuff off. It did nothing for scorch marks but for the first effort I was happy with the results. Next time I will put the Sokoff on extra thick and leave it for several hours to see if that makes a difference. One note of caution: If you have ever used a product like Bix paint stripper and gotten any on your skin, this stuff will burn just about as much. Very caustic stuff on bare skin. USE DISH GLOVES, THE ONES THAT COVER THE WRIST AS WELL! If you can get something that covers your entire arm, even better. I ran the pots through the dishwasher just to be safe, even though this is a food grade product.

Sokoff the baked on grease burn on pots
Sokoff is an excellent product to help eliminate burned on grease and carbon from outside of pots.I used this product several years ago and was amazed with its power. My iron pots were cleaned of the baked on carbon.I would recommend this product to anyone wishing to rid the pots of baked on carbon or burned bottom of pots.
