You use up less sugar than other brands
Ok for the record this review is from a male personal experience using the Luxury Pro Sugaring Paste. Now I have 9 years of sugaring experience on self Sugaring if that should help. I have tried other known brands at from my experience this brand has now become my go to brand. I was in a pinch and I really needed a sugaring paste and at the same time I just didn't want to purchase the brand that I was using for any years. And so I came here on Amazon to see what was available. So on 04.2024 I purchased this Sugaring paste. When it arrived I was impressed with the packaging as well as the product is packaged in. So I began to sugar my face (yes my face. I don't shave lol) neck, shoulders and parts of my chest. So what I have noticed with this product is that one I do not need to lightly heat it in order to work with it. I used it straight out of the container both in cool and warm temperature rooms. I was able to cover more areas with this paste than with competitive brands. Keep in mind I do not wear gloves or use a squeegee. I use my bare fingers throughout the process. With competitive brands it would heat up fast in my fingers creating a sticky process along with repeated trips to the freezer just to keep it in tach. That alone was time consuming and wasteful product. Let alone a poor experience. So like every 2-3 sugaring treatments I went through one container. Each treatment would take me like 3 hours But not with this brand. It is now 11.16.24 and I still have a quarter left in the container. To give you a better idea I sugar once a month. Get my point? Ok so my first impression of using this paste was immediately the quality. You should be able to nice this immediately. It feels pretty thick. I know they usually are thick. Meaning it stays together and for a long time. Even when I used the one application it continued to work up until I stoped. Meaning the paste went from clear to the not clear, and I was able to still keep working with it. I did this to test how well it would preform under extreme use with no gloves/squeegee. Also I never not once had I had to run to the freezer to get it to cool down. Over all to do my face, neck, shoulders and part of my chest I was able to do this within 1 - 1/2 hour at most. I have read a few reviews here and I notice some people are calling the sugar paste as wax/waxing. That is incorrect. This is a sugar paste NOT WAX! Big difference between the two lol I soon plan to make another purchase and will sugar other parts of the body and will follow up with another review of the extended treatment areas. For those that are new to sugaring I highly recommend this brand/product. For those that are experienced and/or own a salon I highly recommend it.

BEST SUGAR WAX!
You NEED this! Don’t get sucked into buying other brands (iykyk). This was exactly what I was looking for. I previously used another brand but it was so much more expensive. Luckily I found this. Negative reviews are mainly due to user error. Sugar waxing can be tricky at first, but once you practice it is very effective. This is high quality sugar wax, don’t think about it - just get it! My only complaint is that the lid was cracked upon arrival. Not sure how this will hold up over the next few months.

Works
This product is the real deal. Works amazing. I will admit it is a bit messy so I would suggest using gloves or an applicator. I originally purchased the Ultima and found it very difficult to work with decided to try the ultra out instead and it u it s definitely easier to use. Really good for all areas of the body and can be used with wax strips as well just apply a thin layer of wax to the skin . Used this for my Brazilian just as painful as getting it done did take longer but once you master the technique and get used to waxing yourself it’ll get easier. Very happy and saving tons of money. I can get more than a as years worth of waxing out of this jug.

Difficult to use but lasts a long time
This was my first time sugaring but I wanted to try it cuz I’ve been so sick of shaving. Cons: -this stuff is pretty difficult to use but I imagine that’s because I’d never done it before. Watching a YouTube tutorial helped a ton!! It gets really sticky to the point where I couldn’t use it after a few times. -I went through probably a little less than a third of the tub to get all my legs, and I had to do it over the course of multiple days because it was so time consuming. But again that’s probably me not knowing what I’m doing. -it’s very difficult to get all of the hair in one go, I had to go over a lot of the same spots multiple times in order for it to be smooth. Especially in hard to get places like my knees and the backs of my legs. HOWEVER. Pros: -it lasts WAY longer than shaving! I waxed over a week ago and they still look good! They don’t quite feel as smooth but you still can’t see any hair growth nearly at all. So that to me is a huge pro in comparison to the cons!

Does not do what it’s supposed to do. Too soft and gets stuck.
The piece starts off really firm but in mere seconds goes to absolute mush. Not suitable without wax strips. If you don’t knead it at all for a few seconds it’s way too hard to apply to sensitive areas as it claims. Do not buy for bikini. I was able to get a small patch to rip correctly on my legs but you almost have to throw it away as soon as you rip off at first piece because it’s way too soft after that to pull off with just your hands. Comes away in mushy clumps instead of actually pulling off the hair in one piece!

If you fail, try try again
I feel compelled to write this review and share my experience. So after I had seen a few videos of how fantastic sugaring was and how easy the videos made it look, I said why not? So went to my favorite place to order all things, read reviews and placed an order. It arrives and im super excited! mind you I also ordered the sugaring powder because if your gonna do it, do it right! Sooo I proceed to follow instructions that came with it and lets say it was a messy sticky disaster. Luckily no matter how bad you mess up, it all comes off with warm water! Defeated, I chalked it up to, well I kinda just slapped it on to try it out didn't wash the skin, ect. My second attempt didn't go any better and I did wash the area, powdered I was all ready! I proceed to smear it on and again I can't get this stuff off! It's just all over the place, my fingers are stuck together with the wax stick in between. I was sooo frustrated, again defeated I wash it all off and put that torture molasses away for another day. When i decided to give this one more try i was determined to make this work! Set everything up and gave it a go. FAIL! As I cleaned up the mess and accepted failure, I swore never again to order stuff based on a few targeted videos. Bitter, I went into my Amazon acct and requested a refund to try and forget this fiasco. After a few hours had gone by, I just couldn't let this wax made of sugar get the best of me so I head to the place where you can can learn all things... YouTube. Now, I had watched a few other videos prior with no success. Then I came across videos from a Youtuber by the name abetweene, watched her videos like my life depended on it and had my AHA moment! Armed with my new found information, I gathered all my torture tools, prepped my skin because this wax made of sugar was not going to defeat me. As I spread this gold colored enemy of mine, when it was time to remove, where it had gone wrong all the other times I flicked it just as the video said and Voila! The whole time I was approaching this same way as traditional waxing but no my friends this is different, I had tried the flick before but the new videos I watched really helped and it's all in the flick. Now, I'm still trying to get down the ideal temp to make this more spreadable but let me tell you this is amazing. Large areas like legs is phenomenal because you can keep re using until its not sticky and the process is much faster. I waxed my legs about 2 weeks ago and since its waxed in the direction of the hair growth I feel it did a much better job at pulling the hair out opposed to breaking it because my legs are still smooth. Woohoo success!

Not for Beginners
I won't share the photos here because I think they are a bit graphic, but I bruised and bloodied myself with this product for the first hour of use. I wasn't pulling straight up either, it just absolutely tore up my skin. I am sensitive so I'm not complaining, I am instead giving a warning to beginners. Use wax strips if you can, I did my one leg without strips and ended up looking like my leg got run over. With the wax strips though, my other leg looks a bit less like I get beat for fun and more just red and blotchy. It comes off with just straight water though which is super nice. I've used honey wax before and that was a disaster. I mean this was also a bit of a disaster but at least the mess was way easier to clean up. It's satisfying and not painful when you use wax strips as well, with just the quick pull at an angle method, it definitely burns and lingers. I decided not to risk my bikini line or armpits and just did my legs. The price isn't bad for how much you get, which is really nice, and the wax is reusable until it becomes warm and sticky. Which was like 3 uses per glob of wax for me. I recommend it to non-beginners, and beginners only if you purchase wax strips along with it. It also has pretty much no scent and is easy to clean up with just water. Basically to beginners, know what you are getting yourself into before purchasing.

A mess and never cooled
I was so excited for this as I had been wanting to start waxing and had head sugar wax was meant to be more gentle, less waste and better for your skin. I had watched a few videos and read the directions. I washed my legs, used powder and then warmed up the wax with my hands. I tried to use a glove but that didn’t work out. I just my hands to warm a small clump and a plastic card to spread it. I wait for it to cool down…forever. Was never able to get a good grip to pull! I heard a trick that you get a small bit of hard wax, stick it to one end on your wax applied area and it would be easier. It wasn’t, it just got soft by the time I went to pull. It never got dry enough to be removed on its own (like it’s meant to). I ended up having to use something similar to baking parchment to put on top of the waxed area (to make it like a wax strip) and then pull. AND EVEN THEN ONLY ABOUT 2/3 the hair came off. I did maybe half of one leg and w washed off the rest. I did appreciate that I came off easy with water. I waited for it to harden or “cool” for like 15 mins and it never did! Am I missing something here?
