Cram for the Professional Engineer Electrical and Computer Power Exam

This was a fairly nice and concise study guide to skim through and ensure that I had the right methods and formulas for the right type of question on the PE exam. Be aware that it isn't a bank of questions but Cram for PE practice tests will have that covered. Passed on first try with other materials from other authors as well.

These book together with the Cram for the Professional Engineer Electrical and Computer Power Exam Sample Test Volume 1, 2, 3, 4 were the best review materials. I solved the sample problems three times before my actual exam. It was really helpful especially the qualitative questions.

I haven't taken the test yet. At least one equation is flat-out wrong, multiple practice questions need more information or equations to complete, and some of the solutions aren't numerically accurate. Too many little mistakes to count.That being said, if you know what you're doing and can study alongside the NCEES handbook, this seems like a decent way to brush up on your problem-solving methodology. The tips saved me tons of time reading code, which pays itself off.

The (4) Cram books contain high quality problems for the POWER PE test. When you consider the cost of other practice tests it is clear that this is a great value. The problems are not too easy like many other resources, so they give a better feel for the difficulty of the exam.One thing to note is that there are probably ~20 or so identical problems across all (4) books, hopefully that will be updated in the future so that there are unique problems in every book.I highly recommend these problems for anyone who is studying for the POWER PE test.

This reference book helped me pass the power PE exam. It is concise and a perfect complement to your calculator on the power PE exam. It includes much reference information for which you may not have studied, but which could appear on the exam. It is a good study aid, offering challenging example problems. Combine this with Flanagan's practice exams, which are very close to the actual difficulty level of the exam (compared to other third-party practice tests).

This is a really good resource to start studying for the PE with. It has all the information for the test in a short and simple format that is easy to study. I recommend spending a little time going through it then start taking the practice exams. Good luck!

This is a very good reference book to use on the Power PE exam. It contains many formulas that I did not find in other references, and it also provides examples on how to use those formulas. It is very concise, which makes it easy to skim through during the exam. It is also laid out similar to the NCEES exam specifications for the Power PE exam.
