Jayone Japanese Somen Noodles, 3 Pound

My friend has spent time in Japan and she introduced all our other friends including me, a salad called Somen”. The salad had lettuce and noodles and ham and soy sauce and sesame seeds with carrots and possibly green onion. She suggested I get my noodles on Amazon so that’s what I did. Thankful for a new and healthier recipe!

High quality noodle for a great price

I love having these at home for their durability, however the quick cooking time can cause them to over cook quickly depending on the type of cookware I'm using. They don't seem to hold dip's well or hold up much flavor in a broth, but with a little creativity they're highly versatile.

It tastes exactly like the noodles I’m used to eating back at home (Korea) but it is a bit overpriced

I tried these noodles because the brand I purchase are not being made at this time. I am used to firm, slightly chewy Asian noodles, these are not like that. I did the 3 min recommended time to cook and they are very soft. I tried on less time, not cooked thru.They are however a good price if you like a soft noodle. They are packaged well.

You'll have to be VERY careful with these, they cook fast but you'll want to make sure you rinse them off real good, Very Starchy so multiple rinses will help remove the excess starch. Otherwise a good buy for the value.
