Kunsto Men's Leather Classic Brogue Boots

These boots look great and feel great. I would highly recommend them and plan on buying them in black. I wear a size 10 in Chuck Taylors and Vans. I got a 10 in these and they're perfect.

I have had these shoes for almost a year and wear them several times a week, and they are holding up fine. I've worn them as dress shoes, and for casual everyday use. Now more the latter as they have become quite scuffed up and beaten from being used similarly to tennis shoes. Through all of this the sole, welt, and stitching are all holding up quite nice, and with conditioning the leather is staying up to par.There are a few cons to these shoes. The coloring in the photo is a bit misleading as they are quite a bit lighter when they arrive. After applying some leather conditioner and sealer they did darken up and look closer to what is advertised. The laces that come with them are also too long but they work fine if you wrap them once around the boot. The quality/price/craftsmenship began to show a bit after about 6 months. The main problem is where the leather overlaps or is joined. When trying to condition the leather the top pieces will start to get a little out of shape on the outside the seams where the leather ends (e.g. where the toe cap overlaps the vamp / heel overlaps the quarter). This is mostly caused from rubbing of a cloth against it. The only other issues is where the lining meets the outside beside the lacing (the face?). It isn't really capped or sealed and it begins to separate. I think these issues could have been overcome with a little more attention to detail.All this being said... If you're looking to buy pair of boots for daily use on the cheaper end of the market these will suit you quite well. At their price you can't beat them. The issues with the leather joining are mostly cosmetic and aren't very noticeable. With daily/rough wear any shoe will begin to shoe some sort of aging. If these issues do begin to bother you you can always buy another pair with the way these are priced.

I like the style and ordered a pair in brown. As mentioned by other reviewers, the pair I received was about 1/2 size larger than expected. and the package had a noticeable oil smell. I returned the shoes and received a pair a half size smaller. As soon as I opened my mailbox I again noticed the oily odor. The odor appears to be associated with the cloth bag that the shoes are packed in and not the shoes themselves. The smaller size fits better, but my heel still slides up and down a little. This seems to be a more of an issue with the design since my toe is where it should be in the shoe. I haven't had this happen with other chukkas.At first I doubted that the shoes were leather, but the grain is visible at some of the seams.The leather layer is a bit thin. The color of the shoes I received is different than pictured - more of a high gloss two-tone tan and brown. The high gloss finish was the reason I didn't think the shoes were leather at first. To me, the finish made them look like pleather, A little olive oil on a rag removed the glossy two tone finish and revealed a much nicer reddish brown color, more like in the photos. I applied a little tan shoe polish after the oil dried, replaced the really thin shoelaces and insoles, and ended up with a nice pair of shoes for under $50..

The Positive:I really was not expecting much when I bought these shoes, I was looking to pickup some new "faux Leather" shoes without busting the bank just for some casual wear. I spent the better part of day on Amazon reading reviews of different shoes that fell in between the $40-$60 range, leather, faux leather/synthetic, or mixture did not really matter to me as long as they looked leather. These appear to be for the most part all leather, the shoes have molded with my feet and feel super comfortable. Just as comfortable as a pair of Clarks I have that were twice the price. I got them to just wear on occasion but I have gotten so many compliments on the shoes I just wear them all the time and they are great.The Negative:You get what you pay for, they do look great but there are some stitching flaws in them and even though they are super comfortable I don't know if the soles will be there for every day use over the years. But hey for $60 I will gladly buy a new pair every year.

My son loves these boots. They look great. A friend who only buys the finest products, asked me where she could get some for her son. She was very surprised at the price. The black sole does scuff onto the leather too easily. It looks fine at first, but they have to be shined to get the scuffs off because it looks bad after a while depending on how one walks or how much dancing one does.

I really like these shoes...I have a slightly wide foot and these pushed the limit but fit great. The reason for a 4 out of 5 is they is quality is good but not top of the line. They had a smell when I first got them and the leather needed some tending too. They are light weight...thin bottom but stitched. I am going to use Saddle soap on them and hopefully get them to last longer and condition the leather. But really a great shoe for the price and some caring I think these shoes will last decent....all relative to the price and if you know how to care for leather.

I was perplexed as I watched the mail carrier try to stuff the package into my mailbox. She saw me and was kind enough to retrieve it and hand it to me. The shoes come in a bag not a box. They smell chemically right out of the bag. The shoes themselves are great. Well made, comfortable and look great with jeans or khakis. After 2 weeks, the smell has dissipated and now have a leathery aroma. Very good shoes.

I love love LOVE these boots! I had been looking all over for a nice boot, a nice simple boot and I'm so glad I found these.Now these are not your every day work boot, that's not what they're for, it's a style boot, it will last, but you don't want to drag these through everything you could imagine, get work boots for that. These are for style, I really loved the love heel. I was tired of looking at boots and they had a tall heel, I didn't like that look on me, I wanted something simple and slimming and I found these. The cap toe is beautiful and I get a lot of compliments on the boots. I really do love them.
