ANIMAL STOPPER GRANULAR 2.5 LB

An appealing rough cinnamon like fragrance, keeps most of the critters away. Most of the pooping under my porch has stopped except in one area. Had to supplement with an additional product. With an appealing aroma this product works best with the addition of a targeted formula to the specific critter.

Deer don't like it. The same can't be said for the rabbits around here - they just ignore it. Scattered dog fur works better with rabbits. This was the first time I tried the dry granular instead of the spray on product I can buy at the local hardware store.

I bought this product to discourage bunnies and dogs from focusing a couple of spots on my lawn. I figured that any scented deterrent would suffice. However, a couple of nights ago I had a raccoon come and dig up a patch of my sodded lawn. In my experience, once a raccoon finds a few worms and grubs, they return every night until they exhaust the supply. So I sprinkled a little animal stopper over the sodded area (maybe 1/4 cup per sq yard) and waited to see what happened. It's two days on now and the raccoons have not yet gone for another dig. I'm attributing that that to the effectiveness of this product. Five stars so far!Here's an update a couple of months on. After about a week and a half the raccoon returned to turn up my lawn again. It's summer and I'm watering every other day, so I'd guess the deterrent effect is getting washed away. I reset the lawn and reapplied the product, but the raccoon came back the very next night to turn the sod over again. I guess it was willing to deal with the smell. This time time I applied the product under the turf before replacing it hoping that the smell would get more intense the deeper the raccoon got into the sod. That application kept the little critter away for about six weeks. It has come back to visit, turning up the edges a bit each night, but no more flipping. So if your problem is a sod-flipping raccoon, try applying the product to the soil under the sod, then a little up top. You might have better luck and more lasting results. I did have to reapply after six weeks though.

I ordered Animal Stopper to keep the squirrels out of my newly planted flower boxes. My neighbor feeds the squirrels which attracts more than our share to my neighborhood.I have tried a lot of different ideas to keep the squirrels from digging up my tulips and other bulbs, but nothing worked until Animal Stopper.

I used to buy the Ortho Animal B Gon All-Purpose Animal Repellent Granules, but could not find it anywhere. I contacted Ortho and they said it is discontinued. They said, "Most of our Ortho repellents have been discontinued. Some have been re-launched under our Tomcat brand. Look for Tomcat Repellents Animal Repellent Granules." I bought this one and it is very similar. Smell is not bad at all, like some others I have seen/smelled. I still have rabbits so it's hard to say how well it works, but I think it does

Made absolutely no difference to the skunks eating my garden. Maybe it repels small children, but we don't have that issue.

Seal was broken like someone used a cup worth. Amazon, I bought this as new.... again another used product sold as "new".

Deters rabbits and deer. Smells nice. Easy on the environment.
