Cafe Oro Coffee

Agree with all the other positive reviews out there. Got this as a gift from a co-worker who went on a military mission trip to the Honduras. It is the smoothest, least bitter coffee I have ever had and it's hard to drink "regular" coffee now, so I'm addicted. :-) VERY strong, so I only use 1/2 pack per pot of drip coffee. There was another brand she brought back ("Café Medalla", extra fuerte, el sabor de nuestro pueblo!) that was equally as good, but I haven't been able to locate it at all.It only costs about $5 or so there, but shipping is outrageous and so it's about the same to buy off Amazon Prime as it is with any other place you can find it on the internet.

Love this coffee. Dark and ferocious. We got hooked on it while in Honduras, and super glad that we can get it in the US. Though, to be fair, and considering what’s going on in the US, maybe this ain’t the only great reason to move away to a more socially kind place like Honduras.

Excelente sabor

I love this coffee its not bitter at all Its very dark but has a smooth favor.

It’s flavor and smoothness makes this my favorite coffee from Central America. It is a darker roast but not over powering or bitter. I first discovered this brand of coffee on a trip to Honduras over 15 years ago. Since then whenever I have returned or know someone who is going, I have asked them to bring me back some. Now I don’t have to wait.

This coffee isn't for everyone. It's smooth, but it is DARK. According to my Honduran friends, I make it half-strength - only 1 cellophane packet for 10-12 cups of coffee (16 packets to the pound), and you still can't see through the coffee at ALL. They use TWO packets for 12 cups...real coffee drinkers!There are occasional production issues - the paper bag shown is stapled shut, and sometimes the staples go through the top packet in the bag. And we have seen occasional packets that didn't heat-seal properly.

Wife brought this coffee home from a trip to Honduras. Far as I'm concerned it is some of the best coffee in the world! When I started running low I began looking for it online and this seemed to be the best deal I could find on it. I'm about to reorder some. It reminds me of Gevalia's Signature blend but thicker, and stronger. It stands up Really Well to cream and sugar. If you're a coffee lover and just happen to be checking this coffee out, do yourself a favor and give it a try.
