🌟 Elevate Your Night Sky Experience!
The 1.25 Inch Moon & SkyGlow Filter is a premium eyepiece filter designed to reduce moon brightness and enhance contrast for clearer celestial observations, especially in light-polluted areas. Made from high-quality optical glass and a sturdy metal frame, it easily attaches to any standard 1.25" eyepiece and features a stackable design for versatile use.

Low-end light pollution filter, with less-than-stellar performance (pardon the pun)
This is a low-end light pollution filter. It is not precise in the wavelengths blocked, so more light is cut out than ideal and objects have a decidedly greenish-blue cast. It does darken the sky and increase contrast for bright objects, but blocks out fainter objects. Total attenuation is approximately 30%. The base glass is optically flat and causes no noticeable distortion. It is inexpensive, but accordingly, "you don't get what you don't pay for."

Could be a five star.
I’ve had this filter for two months and haven’t had the opportunity to use it. In our part of the country the ultimate viewing time is best part of the country the best time to star gaze is any time but summer. It’s hot and humid and hazy at nite in the summer. What I can tell you is that it arrived in good shape. The filter appears to be substantial. The ring appears like the photo. On the five star scale i’d probably give it a five. I say probably because Amazon clutters up my inbox. So when I review an item I’m honest and I can’t give it a 5 because I was asked too early to make a full review of the purchased item. You need to give location as a factor greater weight in in your modeling. I consider this to be a favorable review.

Works really well on the moon and stacked with other light pollution or color filters
I bought this for light pollution and was curious because it said moon as well. It does well to bring out the details in what I'm observing. Worked really well on the moon. Look forward to using it on planets too. Blocks out excess brightness with dimming what you're looking at. Maybe a slight brightness reduction but that's it. It's good for the price. Works well with other filters too.

Looking for a Replacement
USing it with my Celestron telescope and have to limit moon viewing to a minimum due to too much light coming through and it hurting my eyes (and everyone else who viewed through it). It does create nice contrast and craters look great, but I'm looking for a replacement to cut out more light for safer viewing.

Great for lunar viewing
Being new to astronomy I bought this filter to help with light pollution and lunar viewing, I can say that the filter is made with a metal frame that fits nicely on my eyepieces. When viewing the moon with and without the filter, the filter does make viewing easier on the eyes.
