False advertising!
False advertising. Damascus steel is difficult and expensive to make. It creates exceptional steel for knives and swords. The steel in THIS knife is steel with laser etched markings to resemble Damascus steel. Obvious the moment you open the box and look at the blade.

Is this really Damascus, or just Damascus LOOK?
I am not convinced this is actual layered Damascus steel. The pattern on it looks like it is etched in, not integral to the blade. Seems well-made though.

Nice knife
My father was happy with it, it is a beautiful piece, although calling it Damascus is a little misleading, should say that the Damascus pattern was printed or etched onto the blade
