The advice given in this book is dangerous. Birth is a medical procedure that should be overseen by a medical professional. The intent of this book is to encourage women to not seek medical advice. It gives a false sense that everything will be fine and nature or your body will know what to do when that is not always the case. A book is no substitute for actual medical care.

So much dangerous advice and misinformation in this! This book is going to cause someone to die.

The author suggests you consult the google search engine for evidence to support her outlandish claims.The kind of misinformation in this stream of consciousness called a book is dangerous in the hands of a naive or unknowing person without medical guidance. Referencing our ancestors to support the safety of freebirthing is ignoring the high mortality rates prior to advances in modern medicine.

Poorly written. It was hard to follow and there were tons of grammatical errors and misspellings. There are definitely better options out there that’s for sure.

I am amazed at the positive reviews for this book. I'm expecting baby #6 soon and I am all for natural births, but some of this information is scary and looks very unresearched. For example, while I am completely against rhogam after birth, and she seems to take a similar position, her reasoning is not accurate at all.Also, all of the photos are so distracting and reminds me of porn. Giving birth is beautiful, but many of these photos were not for learning purposes, but just to show a completely naked woman just sitting there.... Over and over again. Very few of the pictures were actually related to possible helpful positions and such. It distracted from the message because of the sheer number of them. It's nice that a mom and dad had a great moment together, but I don't know them. I'm here to learn, not look through a photo book of naked strangers. Maybe it's because I'm from the Sout and not that artsy, but I also feel like kit was just a buffer to expand the length of the book.Her information appeared very opinionated and did not appear to empower the woman to educate herself or even point her in the right direction.

This book is awful. So many errors far beyond grammatical and PUNCTUATION. The claims made can not be backed up. She has taken birth stories off of certain unassisted/freebirth groups. Save your money and run!

This book contains dangerous medical disinformation, I can’t believe Amazon is publishing this.

This book is very easy to read. Divided in to sections so easy to navigate. I found it to be very balanced.It goes over so many scenarios, so this will leave you very informed and educated.Great book

If you’re planning a home birth or a freebirth, chances are that you will have some questions along the lines of ‘what if this happens’ and this book covers it all! I have freebirthed both of my children and they have been INCREDIBLE experiences. I read this book whilst pregnant with my second, and would have found it really helpful if I had it before my first. A wonderful wealth of knowledge that supports instinctual, physiological, beautiful, magical birth, on YOUR own terms, just as it should be.

Usually I cant be bothered to write a review even if the product was an epic fail. However this book has been a mighty aid in helping me prepare for my home birth. I thank The Most High AHAYAH through YASHAYA and the HOLY SPIRIT. For bringing this to my attention.I did buy also Sarah Schimid's book but comparing the two I did enjoy reading Heather Baker's book more. I would recommend this book. No nosense straight to the point. Comforting.

Purchased for my girlfriend as we was free birthing at home for our 2nd child alone and this book helped prepare us both and really helped remove the fear that the industry put into us all about free birthing

Really useful information! With the help of this book, I feel ready for my baby's birth. Highly recommended.
