Thermometer Wall Plate (12100)

I just replaced an original that had stopped working. (No, it wasn’t the battery) and it arrives in no time and is up and running as it was expected.

These are great to monitor your temp in areas if you’re home and compare to your thermostat. I ordered from NRG and they prompt and quick to get me my order. Highly recommend this product.

I bought 2 of these thermometer wall plates, one for my baby's room and one for the light switch right next to my heater thermostat. These are such a convenient and simple way to monitor a room's temperature without having to make space for a tabletop/wall thermometer that will display so much unneeded information that you have to sort through a bunch of other numbers on the screen before you come upon JUST the temperature. When I first received the wall plates I laid them side by side in different areas of my house to test their accuracy against each other and they read the same every time! I have checked them against other thermometers too and they definitely give me the most reliable readout. My heater thermostat seemed to be running a bit high so I installed one of these on the light switch right next to it...sure enough my thermostat was off a bit so now I run my heater based on what my wall plate thermometer says and the house temperature has been perfect! The wall plate that I installed in my son's room comes in handy every night, I love knowing FOR SURE that he isn't too cold, or hot. I do wish there was a button to bring on a back light so I could read the temperature when his room is dark but I just keep a little light nearby so I can quickly shine it on the display to see it. If I could afford it, and could somehow justify it, I would love to have one of these thermometers in every room of my house! They are great quality and really easy to install, just use the 2 screws that are provided, pull out the little plastic tab from the battery compartment and you're good to go! It is nice that the batteries are replaceable too, although I'm sure it will be a long time before that is needed. I would buy these again and I would recommend them to anyone in need of such a thing.

1) Replacing some older versions with these switch plates. Great product but color is not white as pictured. The picture shows bright white. What you get is not really white but maybe a white with a greyish tinge . Just looks "off" as it sits next to white trim or compared to the white plates it is replacing.2) the included screws don't match the plates - they are definitely yellow-ish (ignore the switch guard -- it's a separate purchase) but the screws came with the switch plate

NOT white as pictured. Then I was charged a restock fee when returned !! Love the concept of the thermometer and it was easy to install, but I feel I was mislead when the website depicted bright white as the color but I got a light gray color. Doesn't look right next to white wall. Sent it back and they told me no white was available. Then they charge restock fee. I don't get it. Wasn't my fault! Be careful ordering from this company.

I live in an apartment without an actual thermostat, dial says 0-9. I found this item at a hardware store. A neighbor in the building was having problems with her heat, I tried finding one at the hardware store with no luck. Amazon to the rescue!! She loves it too! Accurate and nice to know the actual temp , not that it’s set on “5”
