I ordered the gray sofa. It is a medium gray - not dark charcoal, not light gray. I can see no blue tones to it, although some reviewers have said they see blue undertones. I put a dark gray ottoman next to it and they both look simply gray.It was delivered fully packaged in a cardboard box. The sofa was well protected by both rubbery-foam padding on the wooden parts and a huge off-white drawstring slipcover on the entire fabric part. The legs were in a little compartment built into the sofa's underside.I assembled it in less than 10 minutes with no special tools. Everything you need is included.As a side note, I am saving the slipcover to use when the cat is home alone. It's not waterproof, but it does protect from excess cat hair, and I've already washed it once so I know it stands up to a washing.The cushions are very, very firm. Some people have complained about this, but I love it. As you know, cushions only get softer and flatter with time, so I'm very glad this sofa will take a long time to sag where my husband sits every night.The sofa's fabric is soft to the touch. Not soft as in crushed velvet or faux suede, but soft as in an often-washed pair of fine quality jeans. The fabric is smooth and doesn't stick out in any way to catch on anything, which I appreciate.It is a clean design, very long, and very comfortable once I put my legs up on an ottoman for the night.I give it absolutely 5 stars.

I purchased a pair - one Teal, one Azure.  Both advertised as free delivery.  The boxing/packaging was great, attaching the legs were easy and I like the kangaroo pouch underneath for the shipping cover and other secrets.  The upholstery fabric does like to attract tiny little cotton balls - I use packaging tape from USPS to remove when necessary.  I read the other reviews, did my measuring and am overall very happy with them.  I am 5'7" and can fully stretch out and take a nap, and yes, they are firm.The Azure sofa was shipped from somewhere in California and the Teal sofa was shipped from somewhere in New Jersey.  The California Azure was exactly as described.The seating on the New Jersey Teal is not nearly as firm as the California Azure.  The two cushions are off from one another in size, so the middle button seam coming down the back of the sofa doesn't match the gap between the cushions and the stitching is a bit off in places.  The foam used in the cushions is softer,  and there is now a noticeable depression in the cushion.  The California Azure is still very firm.  When the California Azure arrived, one skinny dude (the driver) with a dolly got it up all 40 steps to my 3rd floor unit via the back stairs all by himself and in less than 10 minutes.  He waved off my gratuity attempt with a 'have a nice day'.  No good deed goes unpunished.When the New Jersey Teal arrived, I was grateful that my friend from Brooklyn was here to help me understand the situation.  The drivers of the truck, I guess, drove all the way out here, spoke very little English, but enough to let me know that they were charging me X number of dollars per step to deliver up to my unit, amounting to an easy Ben Franklin apiece, otherwise they would drop it in the alley right where they were.  I said fine.  My friend from Brooklyn, explained what was happening to me as he apparently has seen this before, told the drivers that they were by contract obligated to get it inside the building.  The two of them struggled to get it in the building, and my friend from Brooklyn and I carried it up the rest of the way. Accented with bright yellow and fuchsia pillows, they look great.

You can see my initial review post below. This update finds me with a new chair that arrived incredibly quickly from Amazon. The return process (because it was sold by Amazon) was very, very easy. The new chair had zero construction issues. All four legs screwed in firmly and the chair provides plenty of room and support for my big frame. I like the firmness of the cushion a lot, and the fact that it's wider than I am. I'd like to buy the matching sofa, but Amazon doesn't sell it (3rd party only) and I'm not sure I want to run the risk of having a horrific return experience if it arrives having the same problem as the first chair. Buy directly from Amazon! If there are issues, the return process is amazingly efficient and simple.This is the initial review of a saga that I hope ends up garnering more stars and having a happy ending. I ordered the chair on May 26 and it arrived on May 29. It was nice that it came directly from Amazon and qualified for Prime shipping. It was also nice that the UPS delivery driver actually carted the box inside my apartment complex's courtyard and up a flight of stairs to leave it at my door -- something that was unexpected.The packaging was adequate and the chair arrived in good shape. However, like some other reviewers stated, there was a slight problem with the mounts for the legs. Three of the four were OK; however the brass-colored threaded nut that is embedded in the wood -- into which the leg is to be screwed -- was protruding slightly from the base. The other three were flush. I put the legs on, including the not-quite-right one, and they seemed to be OK. In fact, I enjoyed sitting and even lounging in the chair for a few days. But, when I tried to get up from the chair, the not-quite-right leg gave way and collapsed. My guess is because it was not fully anchored. I'm now going to pursue a replacement through Amazon's replacement policy and see how that goes.That being said, I love(d) the chair. I'm a big, wide guy and there was still room for all of me and more. I like the firmness of the cushion and the construction of the chair itself (minus the leg mounts) feels sturdy and solid. I purchased the wheatgrass color, which appears just as it does in the photos on Amazon. It's a great color that fits well with the mid-century style of the chair itself. My intention is to purchase the Engage sofa as well; however, I have a bit of trepidation based on my experience with the legs of the chair.If the replacement process goes well, I hope to report again with a higher rating and a happy ending.

Nice color, firm cushions, easy to assemble, will continue to pair other items around it.

I've seen this same couch go for $2G, so if you see it for less get it. Yes, the cushions are hard but also hardy. I've fallen asleep on it more times on it than I can count, and it's never been too hard. Very happy with this purchase.

Though the delivery estimate was way off, the sofa was worth the wait.

I bought this chair a year ago. I do really like it but keep in mind, it is large and it is firm to sit on. The cushion and the linen like fabric has maintained its shape, quality, and firmness after a year, and the luscious colour is just as glorious today as a year ago. It was easy to put the legs on - but, like one other reviewer remarked, the hole drilled on the front left side of the chair is off kilter and is stripped or something because the leg will not screw into it at a proper angle and now the leg keeps falling off. I'm going to just glue it in place. Also, when I first unpacked the chair there were some sharp upholstery staples sticking out on the side - watch out for that. I used pliers to pull them out and that was fine. I love the style and colour especially for the price. But because of the ill-fitting leg, I couldn't give it more than 3 stars.

Love this chair. Looks even better than depocted.
