Suitable for both vocal and instrumental applications, the sE2200 features a cardioid polar pattern and two custom designed 1” gold spluttered diaphragms to ensure pristine sound quality with optimal acoustic performance. Traditional class-A electronics with surface-mounted discrete electronic components deliver low noise, consistent performance, and high sensitivity on any source. A switchable -10 or -20dB attenuation pad provides high dynamic range, while selectable 80 Hz or 160 Hz low-cut filters effectively eliminate low-frequency rumble or footfall noise. The low-cut filters also compensate for excessive bass with close-mic techniques (proximity effect) allowing you to record even very loud instruments like super-heavy electric guitars, fortissimo brass instruments, and heavy-footed kick drums. A custom-built output transformer gives depth and weight to the overall sonic image and the metal housing with a premium finish provides noise-free operation. Additionally, a gold-plated XLR connector ensures reliable signal connection. sE Electronic’s Isolation Pack exclusively designed for the Magneto, X1 and sE 2200a II Series included in this complete recording package features a quick-release shock mount with integrated pop filter designed to guard against vocal pops and absorb shock and vibration.
