Sennheiser RCG M2 Android Cable for Momentum and Momentum On-Ear Headphones

I picked this up for my nephew for his birthday to use on his Xbox One paired with Sennheiser HD 518 headphones. To connect this to the headphones, I had to remove the locking mechanism from the headphones. There are tutorials readily available and easily followed that make doing so a 5 minute job for anyone who can use a screwdriver. He has been using it for about 2 months now and absolutely loves it. I don't have to listen to the Xbox and he is able to clearly hear both game sounds and chat through the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter paired with this setup. The microphone quality is decent to very good for this type of implementation. Of course, it can't compare to a dedicated desk mic and in many cases a headphone mounted boom mic might be better, but what you lose in microphone quality is more than compensated by convenience. Works great on his phone too, which was a nice bonus.

I bought this cable to use with my Sennheiser 598s on my PS4. I haven't tried the functionality of the buttons with an Android phone, but I can say that the cable and microphone do work with the 598s with one small and easy to do modification. You must open up the left headphone cup (remove the headphone pad and driver) and then remove the little black bracket that the original cable twists into. Be careful removing the driver as there are small wires attached to it! You must remove the bracket because the grooves of the two cables do not match. Once you remove that piece then you will be free to use both cables as you wish. The only con to this modification is that the original cable no longer locks in, but to me this is not a problem at all.

Works well with my Momentum Wireless On Ear. Even though the headphones didn't come with a wired headset cable, these work just as well. Same style, doesn't protrude out of the socket you plug them into unlike the 3rd party cables you can buy, some of those can stick out almost and inch in length. Works just as well with my older MM450 and MM550x headsets, as well as a pair of V-Moda headphones.

Bought these for the Momentum wireless 2.0 due to Sennheiser having a lapse in judgements and not including them. Works great and sound quality is as expected. Expensive though for what should have been included in the first place.

Comes as advertised. I wanted the OEM cable for a pair of used Momentum 2.0's I got that didn't have a cable. No problems, control is all there on my Android. Get a 1 Female to 2 Male Y-adapter for them to be able to use the mic on your pc or mac.

The cable works for passing audio, but I had issues with the remote. I have an HTC One M8 and the plug would not stay seated in my phone. If the angled 3.5mm plug is turned, it would come out a little and I would lose remote function. Also, the up and down on the remote were described to alter volume, but it just changed tracks. I'm not saying it is a bad product, but be aware that your specific android might not function as described, which might be my problem. I'm planning to return this product. Update: I looked all over online and I don't see any other options for android cables. I decided to try and fix it. So I found the app Headset Button Controller and that fixed all my remote problems. I still stick with that 3 stars because the 3.5mm angle plug can easily come unseated just enough to disable the remote. If it is going to cost this much I expect the plug to be secured tightly in my phone. I know the cable has problems because I've checked my other headphones on my phone and these are the only ones with this problem.

If you want to use your Sennheiser Momentum headphones with your Xbox One, you need one of these. See the problem is that the headphones ship with this non-standard cable that only works with a little known off-brand smartphone manufacturer by the name of "Apple". I know, right? Who? What? The cable is intended for use with the "iPhone" and "iPod" (again, what?). For whatever reason, Sennheiser believes that these headphones are most commonly to be used with these products. Now, Microsoft, on the other hand knows that "Apple" and the "iPhone" are not common and headphones for them are going to be incredibly rare and wisely constructed their headphone adapter to only work with Android headsets, because it's obvious, nobody would want to use such headphones with their products. As a result, I needed to purchase this cable if I wanted to talk to people on Xbox Live (without going into wether or not I should want to). Snark aside, once I had the cable connected, I could game freely without annoying my lovely bride (as much) and if I desired, speak with the other players I might connect with. So if you have a headset connecter for your Xbox One controller and you want to use your Momentum headphones with it AND for people to hear you, this is your jam. Highly recommended!

Disappointed. I own Sony Xperia Z1S and you can only control volume.

El cable es de excelente calidad y original, funciona sin problemas en dispositivos Android, lo compré para unos Sennheiser momentum wireless ya que no traen este cable y es totalmente compatible con cualquier momentum. Altamente recomendado para reemplazo del cable original o si te falta este cable.

Swift delivery much appreciated. I was panicking with a spoilt cable which meant zoom meetings were more challenging than usual. I wish there were more in stock so I can buy them as spares.

I've had a pair of Sennheiser Momentum headphones since 2013. Both the cables I received with the original pair have broken, one pair has no sound and the other only one ear. Mind you these two lasted me till October 2018 with daily commuting use. This cable is a bit expensive but fits perfectly. The control works on my Samsung S8 flawlessly. The overall feel and quality of the cable are much higher than the original red one I had.
