Pattern Name – Flower Vase On Windowsill This is a 11CT Stamped Cross stitch. Each thread in this kit has 6 strands, please use 2 strands for "Full Stitch" , and use 1 strand of thread for "Back Stitch". This is not an easy kit for beginners, the included english instructions do tell some basics about stamped cross stitch, but it's not a tutorial. For a complete beginner, you can search for everything you need to get started. Here are some tips about this kit: 1. The printed ink on fabric can be washed off easily. Just hand wash the finished fabric in lukewarm water with neutral detergent. 2. The threads are pre-sorted on the card, which is marked with Arabic numbers. Every number represents one particular thread. 3. On the printed fabric, you will see printed charts which show "Full Stitch", "French Knot" and "Back Stitch". For "Full Stitch" or "French Knot" , please use 2 strands of threads; For "Back Stitch", please use 1 strand of thread. 4. The chart on the fabric has 3 rows : NO. / Symbol / DMC. The first row " NO." is the Arabic number on the card, the second row "Symbol" represents the printed color on fabric, the third row " DMC" represent the DMC number of each Arabic number on the card. For example, the first column of the chart printed at the bottom of fabric shows " NO. 01, Orange triangle and DMC 152 ", this means you should use NO. 01 floss on the card to finish the Orange triangles printed on the fabric, since this chart is marked with "Full Stitch", so you use 2 strands of threads for this part. This Stamped Cross Stitch Kit Includes: Pre-sorted Threads; Pre-printed Fabric; HD Graph; Two Needles; English Instructions

Nice winter project
Was finally able to start this cross stitch, and so far it 's fun. Slow going for sure since there's lots of stops and starts to provide shading, but I work on it in the evening while watching TV. The kit had everything, and there seems to be adequate thread. I also do diamond painting, so I used one of my divided boxes to store the thread - cutting the cards apart, while leaving the number attached, and slipping each color into a section of my box. It's a simple thing, but since there are 34 colors, it helps keep them all in order.I thought I'd have to use a loop or frame to keep the stitches even, but the canvas is so sturdy that it doesn't need any exterior support, and I think that trying to use a hoop or other means might actually break the canvas down and leave marks that would be hard to iron out later. The only issue I've encountered is that the directions inside the kit aren't great - a common complaint I've read in other reviews. The description on Amazon is actually more helpful. There is says to use 2 strands for regular stitching, and 1 for outlining. But the cardboard with the thread indicates that for a 14 pt, you should use 3 strands. I tried it both ways, and 3 strands was definitely too thick. The cross effect was lost by the wad of thread. My ability is probably better than average, but this is a pretty straight forward pattern and goes easily. I think it will be lovely when done, but that'll be a while in coming.
