Tbh I was kind of skeptical about the reviews mentioning the fitment, but it fits fine for me. Not bad for the price for a quick replacement. I'd still recommend OEM parts though. Good overall

Does not fit 01 jetta, clips are in the wrong places by about 1/2 an inch and do not snap on

This part does not correctly fit a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta TDI sedan. I've purchased about 3 of these now from Ebay and Amazon sellers, and they all seem to be of the same make and origin. The part will fit inside the enclosure, but the locking tabs are not correct, and the grill just falls out with little effort. I finally found the right match for my Jetta going with an OEM grill. The exact part number is 1J5-853-665-A-B41. I ordered one of these from the dealership, and it fit perfectly and locked securely in place. If you examine the OEM grill vs. the one purchased here, you can obviously see the difference in locking tabs that would cause the issue.

Fit as intended with modification. mine was on a 2001 Jetta Bumper. just a small amount of trimming.
