Set of 2 Deep Dish Microwave Crisper (Blue)

The directions on the package and in the instruction book are vague. There are 2 pans that stack, but when you use both together the food doesn't crisp at all.*I followed the preheat instructions). I then tried one pan with an individual frozen pizza. It was ok, but no crisper than using the foil covered carboard that comes in some brands of frozen microwave pizza. I also tried one pan with a frozen chicken patty. It was firmer and tastier than without using the pan, but not as good as grilling it in my cast iron pan on top of the stove. The pan is definitely nonstick. If you plan to reheat frzen french fries, you may be more satisfied than with pizza or patties.

This works considerably better than many of the items that claimed to do the same thing that I've used a LONG time ago. As long as you realize that it becomes very hot & needs to be removed from the microwave with care and placed somewhere safe, it is a great microwave crisper. It is not dishwasher safe, but I rinse it and dry it soon after use. I've had it a couple of months and they seem to be holding up well. I purchased it only to make fries for my 9-year old son, but my 13-year old daughter has used it for frozen mozzarella sticks-- they came out surprisingly​ well.

Product works as described.My real problem with it is twofold.1. It is large. My microwave is a 1.6 cu ft model and it is very hard to remove the pans without getting burned. Wish they made smaller version.2. It has rubber on the rim and on bottom. It is not sufficient for microwave heat. The rubber on the rim almost immediately began separating from the rim. Also, the rubber on bottom has similar problem and has bubbled out from the base.

Had high hopes with all the reviews but it didn't quite work for me despite re-reading the directions, heating first before putting in the food, etc etc. Food did not come out brown or crispy really than if I hadn't used it. Oh well. Now these are just taking up room among all my kitchen items....

This item comes as a set of 2 identical pans - apparently if you want a lid you just put one pan upside down on top of the other. Obviously they don't attach or anything, the top pan can slide off. But that's not why I rated it so low - it just doesn't seem to work. We tried this several times, preheating the pan each time until it got hot. But the results were not ever significantly different from just heating the pizza or whatever on a regular plate in the microwave - and the results were not nearly as good as using the silvered cardboard included in the packaging of most microwave pizza.

I'm an avid microwave user and I have had other crispers before. They are really awesome for the summer. Cuts down on electrical cost and doesn't work against the air conditioner (as in making the house hot so that the a/c has to work harder). I'm a single person so I have no real need of a full oven anyway. I usually use my convection oven. I found that this one is really mess free I can just wipe it will a paper towel for the majority of my cooking. Even scrambled eggs and cheese are no problem. Absolutely in love!

Sadly, I was quite disappointed to find that this is actually two pans which you must set on top of each other. I much prefer the MicroHearth Grill Pan. The quality of the two pans is great, it just isn't as handy to use.

good for reheating meals. No instructions on how to crisp with it.
