This piece of junk not even worth the packaging it came in. Works great for about 2 weeks then game over. Poor Quality if your looking for a decent CB Mic go elsewhere this is not for you. If you’re looking for a piece of junk go elsewhere aswell cause this is worse then that. RETURN TIME ENDED oh look at that right on time when it stops working and amazon refuses to address issue correctly

I really like the road devil mic. The mic helps cut out the background noise going on and at the same time picks up you voice and broadcasts it in a great sounding high quality audio. I picked this up for a new radio I picked up. I have tried many mics over the years and the road devil seems to work well with my voice. My dad had to use the D-104M6B because it seemed to pickup his voice better and sounded better for him. Maybe because I have used it for so long, but it feels much better in my hand than 95% of the mics that I've tried. Some guys have tried mine and liked them better than what they had been using and they went out and bought road devil mics for themselves. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with a road devil mic. You can boost the gain a little if you need, to make your radio sound louder. Like I said I have a few and I have used them for years now and I just picked this one up for a new radio.

Works great and boosts your voice. Cuts out cabin noise. I can even drive with the windows half open and nobody hears the wind noise in the mic.

Very loud, great sounding Mike, but wow does the quality suck. Was this thing actually made in China in the 1940s? I can't believe how cheap the quality is. Yes. It really is THAT bad. Imagine the cheapest quality electronic item you own. This is worst. Very thin cable, no plastic strain relieve at the connector end. Ptt feels sloppy, makes a rattling sound. Cheap cheap cheap hard plastic shell. The mic is bigger than it should be. Seems like this is technology from the 1970s, and it probably is! Can't we get an update for 202!??!?!

Powered mic, loud clear yes. Sometimes when keyed down quickly it doesn't work, might need to open and take look if wires. Not a bad mic. 9v battery is needed.

Dealer refunded quickly, as did not work for some reason - did not try replacement. Had one few years ago...best mobile/base mike around. BUT this current purchase had very little amplification...no idea why ! Loved this mike in the past and this one was exactly the same mike - great quality. Past mike was super loud with great sound...many compliments. SO, actually this is a 5 star mike...downgraded it star-wise but HIGHLY recommended. NOTE-Comes 4-pin plug - fits my HR-2510 as previous mike did on this radio. Sad it did not work ! Could have just been a bad circuit board inside, so may try again someday ! BUY one - pretty sure you'll have plenty of modulation. Be careful inserting the 9-volt battery, so circuit board inside does not get broken ! Had contacted dealer directly and returned to him...refund came from Amazon though.

this astatic road devil mic is used on both a uniden pc-122xl, and a cobra 29nw. it performs HUGE when compared to the factory mics the radios came with. set the gain to about 1/4 and go from there. i have been told many times that when i run it at 1/2,the mic really starts to perform. i have nothing bad to say about astatic mics. have used them for over 30 years. can be used on the newer uniden 880 and 980ssb with the mic adapter that comes in the box with the radio. if your looking for a mic that will give you more GAIN and PUNCH,look no further. for the price,this road devil is a performer at my base station!
