Spanish All-in-One For Dummies (For Dummies Series)

This is a great Spanish primer. I slept through High School English class. I have been working on Spanish with Duolingo, Babbel and several other books for over a year. They helped, but left me in the weeds. Repetition, memorize but never explaining anything. Tried googling looking for answers but most times I wasn't really even sure what questions I should be asking. How would I know to ask a question about the past participle. What's a past participle anyway?? The second book in this 4 in 1 book, Grasping Basic Grammar Essentials, was revelatory for me. It explained things that I had no idea that I even had questions on. It provides guidance understanding basic grammar and its interaction with the Spanish language in a very relatable way. An absolute God Send for me! I cannot thank authors, Cecie Kraynak and the other gals, enough for their logical, informative and innovative approach. This book has been transformative in my journey towards speaking Spanish. I was lost, now I am off and running! Thank you.

This is a great book to help you learn Spanish I practice everyday

This book is way better than the apps for phones. This book breaks down all the grammar and structure of the language rather than simply teaching the words and sentence structure. Be sure to find someone to practice with. Book smarts needs to be applied to gain street smarts, so to speak.

I got this book not to long ago. It did help me read better in Spanish(I already knew some Spanish). The book is just an extra way to practice, you wouldn't become fluent reading it. But it is still a good way to practice

I have had no training in Spanish what-so-ever but wanted to learn. This book is very simple to understand and put together in a logical, and easy to understand, order. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn Spanish! I also got the 1001 Most Useful Spanish Words (Beginners' Guides) & Easy Spanish Phrase Book: Over 770 Basic Phrases for Everyday Use (Dover Easy Phrase) (Spanish and English Edition) and have found these to be very helpful in my endevor to learn Spanish!

Call me old-fashioned but I like learning languages the old-fashioned way; using books to learn vocabulary and grammer, and then finding someone to practice with. I had previously tried a bunch of different apps and found them all to be irritating and useless in their own unique ways. The For Dummies is a perfect primer for someone that already has some - but not much - background in Spanish and wants improve to the next level.

I love this book. I found it easy to use and helpful. Love the cd since it allows me to hear the pronunciation and verbally try it.

Es gibt eine Audio-CD ihnen im Buch mit ein paar Standardphrasen. Generell ist dies für den Anfänger ein gutes Werk. Für den erfahrenen Sprecher womöglich zu viele Wiederholungen und zu viel "Basis-Spanisch"
