If you like putting stuff together, it's kind of fun. This is better than paying I think it's like 200 for a new Lexus key, getting it cut and having it programmed. It was hard to get the key out of the original casing that has to be screwed in. Then it was difficult to get the key down into the new key enclosure. I used a jewel wrench to squeeze it down in there. You have to or the holes won't line up, and you can't close the shell around the key. But when you get it in there, it's snug, even before you add the screw in the back. I don't think it can be done with hands. There are some that click together, this one with the screw is super secure. It doesn't have the Lexus emblem on it. Which I'm mentioning because I ordered another that had the key and you add the programming part and get the key cut, but it looks like an actual Lexus key casing. I think this one is more secure than that one though.

I wish it had the same build as oem but I can see why that’s not an easy option now. It looks and works just as good though. It just goes together differently. Overall I would buy again.

A good but not great replacement case for my 2002 Lexus keys. The buttons seem to sit about a millimeter recessed in the case. Not much but noticeable when using the buttons. Also, to get the actual metal key in the small plastic brace you will need to use pliers.

I am a person who relies on reviews, but am terrible at writing them. So, when I was looking for a replacement for my key fob, I was a little concerned about this one because of all the mentions of difficulty of getting it on. I have had to replace my Lexus IS300 fob 3 times now and the key once. As was said in many reviews they are not durable. Having just put it on, I am thrilled with it. Yes, it was tight getting it on, but that is what makes it feel secure! And, now I have a back up one! Definitely recommend!

Broken after 4-5 months. I’d just skip and buy from a locksmith. I think it was $25 from a locksmith and it doesn’t have the screw that makes them break.

Required a major notch out and screw change to use on my Lexus es 300 2003 key fob, and I had to use the original back, but once done it is kind of cool! If you are not talented in this area you may want to re-think.

After reading some of the reviews about the product's fit, I was concerned. The original key had to be broken out of the old part. The key did not slide into the slot on the new fob as it is slightly wider at the top, not allowing it to slide into the plastic block. The width of the key had to be trimmed with a file of approximately .010 inch on either side allowing it to slide completely into the plastic holder. I installed the screw and covers with no problem. Excellent product. I would rather have to trim the key as I did to guarantee a tight fit into the plastic part. All good. I will purchase from the same vendor when I need to replace another key fob.
