Rothco 8 Point No Emblem Cap

I did not find the size to be large. Frequently sizes are a Hit or Miss

I wore many of these while working in the field for the United States Navy. This hat is so nice it actually looks and feels like genuine military issue. The size was perfect and squaring the cap is as easy as any other I've owned. I've received many compliments from folks and most folks want to know where I bought it. I don't wear it everyday just on special outdoor events and occasions. I'm going to buy a few more black and a few in other colors. I recommend this hat to anyone wishing to have that true military feel. You won't be disappointed.

If you use to wear a large cover in the marine corps; I would recommended getting the Medium. In the Marine Corps I wear a large 8-point but for this Rothco one, I would say get a medium.

If you measure your head then fit is correct for the size in the chart. This is not shiny like the picture it is the same as a regular issue for BDU wear. So if it authentic is what your looking for then this is it. It is a little tall, I would say in between the utility and garrison cap, but not outlandishly so. Almost out of the box with one or two wrinkles steamed or ironed out its good. Once minimal blocking is done it is outstanding. Recommend.

This hat is well made, but not properly designed. The top of the hat flairs out more than a true Navy/Marine 8 point hat. The result is that this hat looks more like a conductors hat- it is goofy looking.

Just what I wanted. Maybe the hat took me back to my time in the military, I wasn't a 'Jarhead', I was a 'Flyboy'! My brother and cousin were Marines and I honor my brother when I wear my hats. It took 30 years for Viet Nam to claim a great brother and who is missed to this day.
