You need a ebook reader for windows 8, with this.

Works with Windows XP, but not with Windows 8 or higher....
The MWD-170 works just fine with my Windows XP system, but will not run under Windows 8 or higher (even when using compatibility modes). Trying to run the "MerriamWebster.mobi" file from a standalone version of Mobipocket Reader does not work. I've contacted Franklin Electronics tech support three times over the past several months, but have received no reply from them. I'm going to remember that the next time I'm shopping for an electronic dictionary!When this USB dictionary does work (under Windows XP), it actually has some nice features - which is the ONLY reason why I'm giving it two stars. Since the majority of my work is done on a Windows 8.1 system, it is useless to me.

A very good product
This USB drive is very handy and convenient. It is perfect when you want to find just the right word you are looing for to get your message accross. I take it with me everywhere I go.

Franklin MWD-170 USB Dictionary
It requires Mobipocket reader which is no more available, hence useless. It is made cheap to sell without telling the difficulty.

Could not access the information for lack of user name ...
Could not access the information for lack of user name and password which needed to be obtained from "site where it was purchased." Even after creating an account on Franklin web site, could not access. Sent email to Franklin and received no reply.
