IfI buy this now and put in a building til September, will it still be good?

Yes, it should. I presume it will be kept dry in the building -- I think that's the important consideration. It's just basically a straw-like material with a plastic mesh. If you were to keep it over the winter, mice might consider it good nesting material.

Can this hold slight sloping soil in place under a deck?

If this in the typical back yard application, here is what I have found when using this product. If producing a 2”lip of an edge that is fairly even. You can do so and it holds well, without any wire or bracing. If you need to apply more than this, you will need to place “braces” every few feet to attach the edge, else it won’t retain much shape at all.

Does this have the plastic mesh embedded in it?

The mesh is on top and is actually machines stitched on.

Does this contain any weed seed? Last time I tried one of these germinating blankets it contained weed seed.

No there were no weed seeds, but it did NOT roll out very good. I will NEVER buy it again.
