Sumikannyu Ceramic Donabe Hotpot 9.75"

This was my first Donabe and although this particular one works as expected the one issue I have is that the exterior finish of the bottom is not glazed and therefore was immediately stained from heat and spillage after the first use. It is impossible to clean this surface and so each time I use it I have to look at a streaked stained bowl. Not something I really want to put on the dinner table. I think my next Donabe will both be glazed inside and out and will be dark colored in order to maintain a better appearance during it's useful life.

love this rice cooker. you can cook other things in it but that's what i mainly use it for.

Just wish I'd gotten a larger one. This is suitable for 1 big eater but not really for 2 people. Looks great and cleans easily.

Great for cooking stews or other delicious treats on the stove. Think of it as a non electric crock pot.
