Perfect
I looked at many, much cheaper, third party equivalent units, but thought in the end for such a beautifully made camera it would be a shame to in some way degrade it. This original part fits the camera perfectly and is in the same quality finish.A little expensive for what it is, but after paying premium rate for the camera one shouldn't stinge on the extras.. :-)

Beautifully made.
Superb quality my filter now screws into this adapter ring thus protecting the lens.It just about fits into the leather case with the adapter ring and filter on, but it's a tight squeeze.

Fuji X100S Adaptor ring
The Fuji adaptor ring is essential to protect the X100s lens. Bought with B+W XSPD 49mm filter. The metal lens cap still fits well.

good quality
Reasonable price, good quality of material and workmanship but I wish the cap also fitted tightly on the adaptor+filter.Would reccommend to others.

adaptor ring
Quick and hassle free. Highly recommend. Really quite difficult to say more than that. Does what it says on the tin.

X100 Hood
Very good build quality, first class. The colour is a 'smidge' off form the X100, however nobboy notices it, and unless you are really anal about it, you wont notice.Very good item and very good price compared to the original...if you need one get this.

Good Quality Item - Shame It Doesn't Come With the Camera
The filter adapter (and the optional lens hood not included here) are finished beautifully and complement the camera well. You will need to screw the filter adapter tightly onto the lens, or you'll find the twist-fit lens hood (which is itself quite a snug fit - all the better to not lose it) may cause it to unscrew on removal. You can leave a filter attached to the filter adapter and attach and remove the hood separately - it doesn't screw into the filter thread, but makes use of a separate bayonet style fitting also machined into the filter adapter. Note that the filter adapter *does* cast a small shadow at the bottom of the image when using the built-in flash, but shots are still usable. You may want to consider this if you plan to do a lot of flash photography with the X100 - though to do so somewhat squanders the benefits of the excellent low light abilities of the sensor. Both the filter adapter (listed here) and the lens hood are well made, though this should be weighed against their relatively high prices. If I'm honest, I feel somewhat peeved that Fuji decided not to bundle the lens adapter and hood with the camera, given the relatively high cost of the X100 and the fact that they probably cost no more than a few pounds to produce. The opportunity to drum up some extra post-sales income was obviously too tempting, otherwise they would get full marks. Note that you can attach the Fuji filter adapter, plus a fairly slim protective filter such as the excellent B+W 007M 49mm Clear Glass, and still use Fuji's leather case. It has enough adjustment to cope with the addition length on the front of the lens.
