Rodale's Basic Organic Gardening: A Beginner's Guide to Starting a Healthy Garden

Just got to reading this book past my return window only to find two misprinted pages. Would like an exchange for a correctly printed book, or even just a picture of these pages so we can have the information that is supposed to be printed on them. Thanks!

Amazing book. Worth every penny. Rodale is "the" name in gardening.

There is an abundance of solid information targeting beginner gardeners, basically everything you need to do in order to be successful. HOWEVER, I’m missing text due to print errors. I’d love to have another copy sent that doesn’t have these issues or get the e-version of the pages that are wonky. Wish I could give it 5 stars!!

I quite enjoyed this book. At the moment, I am brand new to the idea of organic gardening, so this was a really nice introduction to the subject. The book is written in a very friendly manner and has all kinds of really good information. I don't know that this book will get anybody to the status of advanced gardener (and I'm certainly not there), but the title does have "Basic" in it, so I don't expect it to. The information is well worth the cost of the book - I'll be using this as a reference for my own garden in the future.

Have never been disappointed with any information from Rodale and this is no exception. Stuffed with information in a clear concise manner. This is like all their reference books - full of info that I'm looking for and written so there is no ambiguity about what they are telling me. They've long ago established their mastery of their subject matter - so I always know I'll get great info I can rely on.

This gave me the basics in an interesting way. Easy to read, excellent diagrams, and valuable tips for the garden. The real test will come in the Spring when I plant my first organic garden.

We are in our second year of a rather large garden. The book had some great little golden nuggets to help with bug issues. Something easy to grab if you have a question on a specific plant.

I'm sure we will be able to use some of the information and tips in this book but if I had known it was written from a North American perspective I wouldn't have bought it. Maps of climate and some other information are not applicable to the UK.

I received this product, which does have good content however a few pages have not been printed and are missing the content on the pages!

This book overall is really informative. Unfortunately many of the pages had print issues, and had missing words and picture. I contacted the publisher and they sent me a replacement book, however THAT book had the same print issues. I contacted the publisher again and they looked into it and said many of their books had the same print issues. Instead of offering a refund or to send another replacement, they said I would have to contact them again in the Fall when they “might” have a corrected reprint! Talk about absolutely terrible customer service!!!!

I needed an introduction to organic gardening for a community garden club that I have joined. This book is great background reading and also practical guidance.

As a first-time gardener, I've found this book as a perfect intro! It has everything you need to know to get started. It's very comprehensive. I bought another book for gardening, but realistically only needed to get this one.
