ServSafe Manager, Revised with ServSafe Online Exam Voucher (6th Edition) 6th Edition

Well written book. I passed the ServSafe Manager certification exam just by studying from this book. I was surprised to find that in order to take the exam I had to find a proctor in my area. The cost for a proctor who administers the exam is between $50 to $160. So, in order to budget, you'd need to add the cost of this book, the cost of an exam voucher and the cost of hiring a proctor, if you are to study on your own and take the exam. Regarding the exam, there were a number of questions that were not discussed in the book. However, if you apply the principles taught in the book, you can arrive at correct answers. The exam itself was challenging, in my opinion, even though I scored 95% and took less than 50 minutes to complete. The exam had 90 questions and must be completed in 2 hours. Good luck to you, if you plan to study and take it. You will learn a lot about food safety, if you have not been exposed to this field.

A great book. Mine came with an Online Exam Voucher. This online voucher does not mean you take the exam at home on your computer. You have to find a proctor, set up an exam date, and they provide a computer for you to take they test while they keep an eye on you so you do not cheat hahaha. The voucher has a code which you will use on the exam day. Exam results (for Serv Safe Food Manager Exam) are instantly given to you after you complete the 90 question exam. Its not that hard. just study the material. So Cost wise, about $70 for this book with online exam code and $30 for the proctor (which you can not avoid this fee). Excellent material for Exam preparation. :)

This is a really good book. Especially for the classroom. It was very informative and has lots of details. The only thing I would change is the manner in which they had some of then things arranged. Other than that I learned a lot and wouldn't have been able to pass my servesafe test without this book!

The book was in used condition and was fine for studying. Beats paying for a brand new one ! The problem is the online voucher, there isn't one. I had to purchase a separate voucher on the ServeSafe site to take the online exam. That was an extra $36 that I thought would have come with this book based on the description of the product.

I used it for a hospitality intro course and lab and passed the servsafe exam with an 82. I think the book did its work but I would recommend also using online resources like quizzes to practice.

I use the older edition because I like it better.

Book was fine for studying. Attempting to find a proctor to take the test was a pain. Calling for assistance meant a 35 to 95 minute wait time. The proctor needed a certificate of 8 hour classroom training, which you don't get if studying on line or using a book.
