Worth it!
A page for page of the game. With a less detail but still interesting to read, especially while playing the actual video game.

All Fans of the Game Should Read This
I loved the video game, and I enjoyed the new content in the comic book. The artwork is high quality and eye-catching. On the downside, if you haven’t played the game all the way through, you’ll probably be a bit confused in a few sections due to storyline cuts that were made to fit in the most critical parts.

Great gift
Step dad liked it as a gift. This is based off the PS4 spiderman story I do believe.

Spider-Man: Lost in Adaptation
When Spider-Man swung his way onto the PS4, it was a breath of fresh air for both PlayStation devotees and fans of the web head. I myself am sadly not a gamer, but the fresh, creative take on Spidey that still felt true to the core of the character and his mythos was extremley satisfying to watch via cutscene videos. When this iteration of Peter teamed up with the Superior Spider-Man (aka Doc Ock) for Spider-Gedden it was another case of hitting the right chords, showing this character sticking to his moral code and actually getting me to like Superior Spidey, which I hadn't done until that point. So, does this comic adaptation of the game live up to the high quality its PS4 predecessor set?Sadly no. The story changes or skips over various scenes from the game's narrative that is crucial for character development and pacing. Doc Ock disappears for half of the book, Silver Sable may as well be nonexistence, and even Peter's arc is ruined due to the weird editing choices. I'd say this book was meant to coincide with the game, but again the altered or removed scenes don't fit with the game's timeline. We never even see Spidey stop the Sinister Six in this comic, so as far as we know they're still free. On top of all that there's also internal monologue from the character that weakens the emotional impact on various scenes, mainly the emotional ending with Aunt May. With that being said, the book does try to compensate with decent scenes centered around Miles and MJ, and seeing a modern take on Swarm is sick, but this pails in comparison to the tight, intelligent plot from the game. I just hope the proceeding comics set in this universe can swing for the fences and stick the landing...

Pretty much a beat-for-beat recreation of the videogame's story. Make of that what you will.
By all accounts and purposes, “Spider-Man: City at War” is essentially just your run-of-the-mill adaptation/recreation/copy-and-paste-job of a popular videogame’s narrative: in all but a few areas, it follows the story of the game to a T. Which, on the one hand, is a little disappointing: one of the best things about the world and characters that Insomniac created in their game was that they felt fully realized, which made you want to see MORE of them, in other, NEW adventures. So to have their first comic tie-in be basically just a beat-for-beat recreation of a story that we’ve already experienced is, admittedly, a bummer. On the other hand…MAN, it’s a good story. In fact, re-experiencing the game’s story in comic form only helps to highlight the impressiveness of what Insomniac pulled off. The fact that the story and characters ring as true on the page as they do on the screen speaks volumes about the care that was put into crafting a narrative that wasn’t just connective tissue for a set of gameplay mechanics, but actually sculpted and delivered so as to deliver a distinct and emotional experience for the player. It’s great, great stuff.Of course, the real question is: is “Spider-Man: City at War” worth the read? If you’ve already played the game and are looking for new narrative beats, then probably not, unless you’re absolutely dying to re-experience the awesome story again. HOWEVER…if you’re Spidey fan who DOESN’T own a Playstation and has been itching to see what all the fuss is about is about? For those individuals, “City at War” is more than just worth a read – it’s an absolute treat.

Good new take on the Webslinger
Item arrived in great condition as promised without issue.Book itself was a good read, offering the video game take on Marvel's flagship character. For the most part, the look and style are fresh without compromising the narrative. Art is solid and characters, including Miles Morales are seamlessly woven into the fabric of the Spiderman main universe. A good read overall.

Stunning.
The comic is overall good in my opinion, it's based on the video game which i very much enjoyed. Some complaints say it was rushed, to which yes; to an extent. But, it's really hard to fit a whole 17 hour ( if only focusing on the main story ) game into a comic that is only a few volumes. If you're going to complain, then watch or play the Spiderman PS4 game first to get a firm grip on the story. Personally, i really like the artstyle and the overall look of the comic, along with a few extra pages and character designs. The colouring is also phenomenal, so the art team really did a good job. Probably one of my favourite comic artstyles to date.

Calidad-precio adecuada.
