RUSFOL Powerful Suction Cup Mount,GPS Mount for STRATUX CASE

This is a great unit. The Stratux and battery fit great. The Stratux slides into the mount and the battery is held on with the velcro, just like the original mount.

Hi everyone,this review is for the RUSFOL Powerful Suction Cup Mount.It's very sturdy and works really well with my STRATUX receiver in a helicopter. One problem I encountered that the suction cup rubber gets soiled pretty quickly. This causes the mount's effectiveness to decrease and occasionally fall off.Solution! After wiping the suction cup clean with a damp cloth or sanitizing wipe it immediately regains its strong mountability.Hope this helps!-Angel

This fits the Stratux case very well, very tight and secure. However, my issue is that it has the sticky messy "stick'em" goo stuff that degrades over time, sticks to things it shouldn't, and can be a mess to take off and on repeatedly. If this is going into a permanent install and it is your airplane, this is great. It won't let go unless you want it to, and even then it will try to stay put. I saw no description that it had the sticky goo and I cannot use this on a rental plane.---The rubber suction cup split and ripped off after about 6 uses. I can repurpose the rest of it but the suction cup on mine failed.

So in order to use this, you have to mount the suction cup, THEN, insert the Stratux. When mounting on the back window in a cessna this is not ideal. It seems like the more stratux stuff I get the more junk I acquire.

The product itself is nice, but the suction cup is worthless. Constantly falls off the window. I have cleaned the cup, the windows, everything. Every time I turn around its fell down into the back seat. Virtually no suction at all

It was great while it lasted but at about the one year mark, I forgot and left it attached to the window during the day. When I came back the rubber had melted and the holder fell off the glass and the rubber stayed on the window.

I purchased this in January. Used it for a couple months and it seemed fine. Fast forward to April and it has completely fallen apart. The suction cup has ripped off the mounting part of it rendering it useless and broken. The rubber stem which comes up from the suction cup tore off so now I have two pieces. Gonna try to contact the seller to see if they will replace it. At this time, low review for durability.*****Update*****I contacted the seller and notified them of the failure. They were very quick to respond and requested photos of the pieces. Within 24 hours of sending photos, they initiated a replacement shipment. I received the replacement several days later and have not had a problem with it.Outstanding customer service. Hopefully the replacement will last longer than the original.

Very happy with this suction cup. I stuck it to my airplane, and it stuck like it was glued on! This works much better than the mount I was using that kept coming off. I recommend highly.
