Will it work with a Liftmaster LA400 or 500?

This is not a sealed unit, if mounting on an exterior location this would become an issue.(Search for "sealed Maglock") As far as technical operation the gate controller should have MAGLOCK contacts. Is the lock suitable for a sliding door application?

I don't think it is made for a sliding door.
