Rose - Auric Blends Perfume Oils

DID I MENTION, I LUV THE SMELL OF ROSES! THIS IS AN AWESOME LASTING OIL THAT SMELLS LIKE A FRESH BOUQUET.

When you retire (after working 48 years!), some old habits have to, sadly, die by the wayside. Buying perfume is top of the list.All my working years, I was known for the various perfumes I wore. In the 60s it was Jungle Gardenia. Everyone wore it because Liz Taylor said it was her favorite scent. And, at that time, she and Richard Burton were #1 on the gossip charts. Even though it was way too heavy for me, personally, I wore it for years. In the 70s I wore White Shoulders. In the 80s it was Diorisimo. This was allegedly Princess Diana's favorite perfume. In the 2000s Jo Malone fragrances were my favorites. Still are. That said, I cannot afford to go into one of her lovely stores in Manhattan and buy a bottle and a couple of bars of her perfumed soap any longer. It comes down to perfume or eating homemade soup for a month! No contest.I researched all the perfumes on Amazon and then decided to try the perfumed oils. I looked at all the choices for days before deciding on Rose by Auric Blends. I love it! It goes on strong and lasts all day. It is an authentic rose scent, not some synthetic watered down mix. It compliments everything I am wearing from casual to night out. It isn't overpowering but isn't wimpy either.I keep it in a dark, cool place in my bathroom to keep it from evaporating and losing it's scent. I wear it every day, not only on special occasions. A lady sitting next to me on the Subway last weekend commented on how wonderful it smelled. She was really surprised when I told her what it was and where I bought it. I don't know what I did before amazon. Well, actually, I do. I spent every Saturday walking from one end of Manhattan to the other end searching for items I needed. Now I just go to Amazon and find everything I need. I really love this oil. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a rich rose scent that doesn't cost $100 an ounce. Great choice.

Smell delicious.

It smells very good but if you put more than a few dabs it is very strong and gets a little nauseating.

This is exactly the fragrance I was looking for! So lovely. But it doesn't last longer than an hour. Darn.

If anything, this stuff will last me a long time! While it does have a nice rose scent (anyone will know that it's a classic rose), it is very potent! The first day I put it on I dabbed some on both wrists and a little on my neck. I put too much on my wrists and ended up having to rinse it off just because the smell was overpowering and giving me a headache. I'm not sensitive to scents, I usually wish that some fragrances would be stronger. However, this one was surprisingly strong! Very concentrated. But also a nice rose scent. So if you're looking for a classic rose scent I would definitely go with this one, as it doesn't take much and will surely last a long time! It's not Bulgarian Rose, which is a bit softer and sweeter. This one just sort of makes its presence very known.

This will be a dual review as I bought both rose and vanilla...ROSE: I'm picky about rose fragrances and I only like a very realistic, non-perfumey rose scent. I took a gamble on this one and I'm so glad I did! It smells delicious and like I slept in a bed of fresh roses. I love it! When I first unscrewed the cap and took a whiff I initially thought the scent was too faint, but once I apply it to my skin it smells much stronger (same thing happens with this brand's vanilla roll on). If you love the smell of roses I'd highly recommend giving this one a try!VANILLA: Ok, I'm leaving my review at 5 stars because the rose is so phenomenal and Amazon isn't letting me do a completely seperate review for the vanilla, but I wanted to give you fine folks a rundown on it also. Just like rose, I'm fairly picky about my vanilla scents. I like something as close to genuine vanilla as I can get, but just a tad more feminine/sweet (not by much though). In my opinion this particular vanilla isn't the best, but it's not bad either. I still happily wear it, but I just wish it was closer to genuine vanilla. Instead it feels a bit, I dunno, almost faint or watered down so to speak and it has a more sweet, almost coconut-y undertone than I expected. As I said, it's certainly not bad, it's still very pleasant, but it just doesn't wow me or satisfy that craving for a yummy, delicious, earthy vanilla. Another reviewer mentioned that the sandalwood vanilla is nice and earthy, so perhaps I'll try that one next. Or maybe I'll just raid the kitchen and douse myself in real vanilla. Kidding! (Maybe.)

Very good fragrance remains for hours

Am allergic to perfumes and only use pure essential oils. Ordered this even though they did not list their ingredients. Was pleasantly surprised how natural it smelled, the rose was heavenly. I did not have a reaction using this oil. Excellent, will buy again.
