Very Good, but still..Could Be Better
I would say, overall so far, I'm very pleased with this photo studio in a box. It assembles very quickly, no instructions needed (nor were any given with my package). The lights seem to be sub-par in my opinion, and they actually start to smell as though they are burning, after only being on for a couple of minutes. I would say the light they provide is ample, yet you could easily benefit from upgrading to a larger set, and I know they creators of this know that, seeing as how they sell an upgraded lighting set for more money. The blue, red, black and white backdrops are perfect! Yes they arrived folded, so they will have annoying creases in the them, that you will have to iron out, but I really can't think of another way they could have shipped them and still have all of the kit in one box. So that's nothing really to detract from the overall quality of the package, it's just an annoying necessity that you'll have to deal with. The fact that it all rolls up into a carrying pouch is perfect and I can't really imagine how this could be any more functional and at the same time be easy to carry and move around. So for the money, I'd say you're getting your dollars worth, but what keeps this package from attaining a grade of "A+", is definitely the lackluster lighting. I fear that they will one day burst into flames, or more likely I'll have to replace the bulbs of the whole lights themselves very soon. But for what you get, you really can't find a better deal for the money, at least none that I've seen, and I researched this quite a lot on Amazon.Overall Grade and Satisfaction: B++

Photo Studio Tent
Great product for the price. It works out very nicely for taking photographs of small items. I thought it was a very good value.

Good idea, poorly implemented
I bought this looking for an effective way to take pictures of miniatures that I have painted. This product seemed like the ideal solution, everything I needed and it all packed away for storage between uses.Unfortunately it is an extremely low quality product. My biggest problem is that one of the two provided lamps stopped working within a few minutes of it's first use. Even when both lights were working they were not powerful enough to properly illuminate the set through the diffusing sides. They also get incredibly hot, so be very careful when working with these lights. The next issue is with the supplied camera stand. Again, it looks great from the pictures, but actually using it is very difficult. To attach your camera there is a standard screw-in camera mount, but it is fixed to the stand, so you have to spin your camera around and around to get it on, which is no easy feat for any larger camera. Even with the camera attached the stand is of limited usefulness as the swivel closest to the camera only moves a few degrees up and down, meaning all of your pictures from the stand will have to be taken from an overhead angle, as depicted in the pictured setup above. For many smaller objects and especially miniatures, that just isn't going to cut it.The provided backdrops, in four colors, also seemed great. Sadly they've been folded up so tightly that they have permanent creases worn into them. This makes them very distracting in pictures. The colored backgrounds are also different widths from the white background, so while the white background is barely large enough to fill the scene, the colored backgrounds are too large. The booth itself secures in place with velcro, but surprisingly there is not bottom to it, so you will need always cover the bottom, which the backdrops do.It is nice that it folds up compactly and has pockets for the stand and lights.I was extremely disappointed with this product and returned it after the first use, especially once one of the lamps died.

Needs Better Lights and Camera Stand
I really like how this package is put together and it seems like a good value for the money but two things make it a poor value for the money if you expect to use this kit and nothing else.To start with, I quickly found that the lights did not provide enough illumination, and on top of that they give a reddish light which made for pink products, which is not ideal. Fortunately I have some 500 watt halogen work lights that do a much better job.The second big issue I had with this was the camera stand. The fixed mounting screw was more than a minor nuisance (requiring me to either spin the camera on the stand or spin the whole stand into the camera) but the biggest problem was that it simply wasn't sturdy enough to support my Nikon D80 DSLR. I will probably re-purpose it for a video camera or maybe my point and shoot, but it definitely was no good for my intended application, so instead I'm using either a mini tripod or a full size tripod next to the table. In all, because I have other equipment I can bring in I have something usable, but I would have been incensed if I had to buy the extra equipment when this was supposed to be the full solution.

Works well.
Everything work very well for what I need but unfortunately, if the lights are on for a significant amount of time, you get a buring smell from them.

Perfect for eBay sellers!
I bought this to help stage my eBay and Etsy sales a little more professionally... and it does just that. Make sure you put the lights in a safe location when you set it up, as they do get hot. Also, you need to put it under a strong down-light to get the right shading. (A bright window doesn't work)
