JT would be proud...!
I am a long time fan of Johnny's but I never heard the original release of this cd. I tend to avoid anything that came out after "que sera".That being said I was very surprised at how great this sounds. Some of the material sounds very much like JT ( Leave me Alone and a smokin' Can't Kick for example ) but the off the wall treatment of the other songs works very well indeed. Wayne Kramer's Flaming Groovies style 'Children Are People Too' is very moving and Jayne County's 'Help the Homeless' is soooooooo NYC! thank God Jayne is still around. Glenn Matlock delivers a fine yobbo version of 'little bit of whore' it may even be better than Johnny's ( sorry John...). This cd has moments of sheer rock and roll anarchy, tenderness and humor. It also shows ( once again..) what a great SONGwriter Mr. Thunders was--he is finally, belatedly getting some credit for this. The only negative thing I can say about this release is the little snippet of Johnny singing at the end is very, very sad--especially if you are a fan.Otherwise--Get it!!!!

A truly great album.
Some say nostalgia is a disease. Buy them this album. A bit of an adventure for me in terms of what I normally buy (blues, power-blues, rock, heavy rock etc) but I fell in love with this album first time round. Full of feeling and integrity, well-executed and wonderful to listen to. A great recommend from Amazon. Thanks to all concerned.

Fantastic..
Fantastic...a great collection of versions of songs that should be better known by the artist himself, creative and inspiring and this compilation is really class acts paying homage to a wonderful talent.

Peut mieux faire.
Le titre de mon impression sur cet album résume mon ressenti, certaines reprises sont excellentes, d'autres moins, c'est le risques des tribunes. Pour les curieux et les fans.
