Loved it! I plan to keep this in my GoPro kit bag forever.
Amazing, this thing works so slick, I'm really glad I went with this one.I used it with my GoPro on a recent trip to Central America, and it worked great. I got rid of the GoPro wrist strap years ago, wasn't crazy about the design. I used this to have it wrapped close around my wrist when I was paddling/horse back ridding/hiking, etc. and then could easily hold it up and out with my hand to take photos, or even the occasional (not that like to admit this) selfie.I have a velcro strap that I had around my wrist as well, something left over from a really, really old ipod workout accessory. I have a velcro piece on the back of my GoPro case, and had it 'stuck' to the velcro strap when not in use so as to keep it from just dangling with JUST this cuff strap. That probably makes no sense, so I'll try to add a photo eventually to show what I mean... worked awesome though, for me.

Probably the best cuff out there, but think seriously about how you want to use your camera.
This works just as advertised to keep my Sony A7 securely attached to my body. On a couple occasions my grip has gone and while my heart dropped securely into my stomach ... my camera did not follow suit. It is comfortable and unobtrusive. Now to the only reason this didn't get a full five stars ... if you are a right handed shooter this carry solution will completely rid you of that hand for any other purpose. Due to the design of the sliding mechanism It isn't the easiest to remove this strap to utilize your hand for say ... getting into a car, grabbing your wallet from your pocket, or EVERYTHING YOU DO DURING THE DAY THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE TAKING PICTURES. I guess this could be looked at as good and bad. On one hand, you get to become ambidextrous -or- relocate everything to the opposite side of your body for access. On the other, removing the strap renders the saving ability (spoken of earlier in this review) useless.I would say this shouldn't be a primary carry solution. Get one of the new peak designs carry straps as a primary carry option and keep this for the days when you know all you will be doing is taking pictures. The quick attachment things are pretty awesome to change out straps so this shouldn't be much of a burden. Happy shooting!!

Almost there; but not quite for someone with large hands.
As a male with 2XL hands, this thing is already a little snug to get over the hand to the wrist. Wish it was a little bigger. Also wish the strap was a little longer. Have it on a gripped 5D Mark III, but it needs to go on the grip lug; not the camera body strap lug. If you put it on the camera body lug, it is difficult to get to use the shutter on the grip (vertical) and the plastic seems to dig into the memory card door of the 5D Mark III. I like the concept of the Peak Design system and it shows promise. I think it needs some improvements. I do like the material the strap is made from.

I like carrying my camera with this strap
I like carrying my camera with this strap. I hated having a camera around my neck. If I kept the neck strap long enough for easy on/off and flexibility of shooting, the camera would rest on my already too protruding belly, which meant my camera was always sticking out and bouncing around.I love how the strap stays comfortably on my wrist, doesn't bind and is fairly easy to come off (ok, it does take both hands as I have to unsnug the strap to get my large hand out of the loop, but it hasn't been an issue. My Nikon rests comfortably in my hand, fingers in the nook where they're designed to go.I have bad carpal tunnel and was concerned it might bother that, but it doesn't. Nice product. I'm happy.

I like the modularity they bring
Peak Design has a unique approach to camera strap design. I like the modularity they bring. The one short-coming with this product has to do with connecting the clip to itself as a bracelet when detached from the camera. For my wrist there isn't enough slack to make this practical. I was able to rig a solution with a short length of paracord, but this really should have been thought through in the design stage. The fit of my watch band suggests that my wrist size isn't particularly large. Not a deal breaker by any means but something to consider before making your purchase.

I really like the Peak Design products
I really like the Peak Design products. I purchased The Cuff and The Leash, and both perform we,,, are heavy duty yet take up virtually no space compared to other products in their class. The Cuff works as advertised. It keeps you connected to the camera when you want without the need for a burdensome strap. The cool feature of it turning into a bracelet, when not in use, won't work for those of us with large wrists (it almost does, but not quite), but should work for anyone with medium to small bone structure. I love the connectors on this thing and could see using this to connect the camera to other things besides wrist (e.g., backpack, belt, etc.) for easy, fast disconnect. Great products PD...keep 'em coming!

One Flaw, but otherwise works well.
Use this on my Sony A7ii. Works great. The quick release mechanism is perfect so I dont have to fumble around taking the wrist wrap off my wrist to take my wallet out of my back pocket. I just slide the quick release and its off. Although I do wish that the strap would actually slide and tighten in the event of a drop. I tested a camera drop over my bed, but the strap did not tighten. So of you wear the strap on your wrist loose and accidently drop the camera, it could potentially just slide off your entire wrist. Thats the only flaw I can see. If they could fix that some how this would be the perfect wrist strap. But for now it will do since its still better than all the others on the market.

Quality and shipping... excellent. My only complaint is it is in the way. I have this on my Fuji X100T. The detachment device is nice but really large.Maybe on a large DSLR it's OK but I'm looking for another solution for my smaller camera. Just gets in my way. The mechanism is huge. Could be half it's size and still provide plenty of strength. The strap is rather thin, light weight nylon. I'll either send it back or reverse engineer it to my liking:-)Packaging and direction are top notch. I'm really bummed it does not work well on my smaller camera. I haven't looked, maybe they make a mini version. If so, take this review with a grain of salt:-)

Great design, suitable for larger DSLRs too!
I'm not a fan of neck straps and could never get on with the various sling straps which hang the camera by the tripod socket. Most of the time I have the neck strap wrapped around my wrist which isn't the most secure way to carry a DSLR. Conventional handstraps didn't appeal to me as both my bodies have battery grips for use in portrait orientation, so this seemed like a sensible option.A few of the reviews here raised concerns over the load rating of the Peak Design system for larger DSLRs, but I decided to give it a go anyway. The strap is really compact and when not in use can be clipped around the wrist out of the way. The wrist strap is long enough to be able to use a gripped camera body in portrait orientation without issue. I also have very large hands and the fit is very comfortable. The anchors are very secure when clipped into the strap and according to Peak Design are rated for up to 200 lbs (90 kg) of load!I like it so much, I've bought additional anchors to use it with both camera bodies. The photo shows a gripped D800 with a Sigma 24-105mm f/4 Art (2.2 kg in all) attached to the wrist strap. I have no concerns whatsoever that the anchors are up to the job.

Maintien parfait
Bon maintien autour du poignet, produit polyvalent, peut convenir a plusieurs appareils.Le seul petit soucis est la grosseur de la boucle cote appareil photo un peu épaisse et difficile à passer sur petit boitier

Avoid Dropping Your Expensive Camera
My third Peak strap [all in full use] because I love the quality, ease of use and the variation of positions you can hang/conceal you camera under your coat etc. They all come with the same connectors which are small enough to leave on the camera allowing quick change of straps to meet your needs on the day. They are not the cheapest on the market but very good. As for this particular wrist strap it gives you piece of mind when you don't want a long strap in your way but at the same time don't want your expensive camera at risk from being dropped or snatched from your hand. Ideal for when taking shots from height or other risky areas such as stretching your arm to get the shot thereby weakening your grip on the camera. The added bonus is that should you need/want to use the camera without any strap it easily wraps around the wrist or slips into the smallest of pockets. Perhaps a little expensive but quality kit that is comfortable on the wrist.
