Natural Birch Tar Soap (Pack of 3 bars)

It has a very specific natural scent but its not perfumed. It has that dense smell of wood and you can smell some of it on your skin.. but its not like a perfume, its more gentle.

This soap did the job and cleaned well but it has a VERY strong smell. Smells a lot like a strong bonfire smell left on your clothes and hair. I can bare through the smell so it’s not a bit deal. My husband used it on his poison ivy rash and it worked good

Very pleasant and rich original scent, immediate effect on the skin. Soothing and healing, great for regual use too. Nothing beats that !!!

Great, natural product! It takes a little time to get used to the smell when you shower, but it rinses clean leaving you smell free. Very good product.

I know this soap from my childhood, my mother always has used it not only for the entire body but instead shampoo as well. As a teenager and as a grown up I wanted to try out so many nicely smelling and pricy things from supermarkets and different kinds of companies which promised (well, you know) the healthiest skin ever, the usage of their products resulted for me in multiple allergies and the necessity of using cleaning products from the pharmasies only which are not cheap at all. Two months ago I bought Russian Original Birch Tar Soap from Nevsky Cosmetics at Amazon, which made a difference for me. The soap doesn't smell like all other parfume loaded things from the stores (don't forget, it contains birch tar!), but it cleans your skin so good that you feel how it breethes after a shower (what my mom used to tell me and now I know mothers know best). The Birch tar soap might dry your skin a little bit (it depends of the type of skin), but a mild lotion after the shower would release the dryness.I would highly recommend this soap to everyone who takes care of their health.

The scent is very strong, when I opened and put it in the bathroom, my husband asked if something is burning inside of the house. The soap had a very distinct strong scent. After few weeks it became tolerable. I am using it once per week. It does its job but I did not expect anything else magical. :)

Nobody skimped on the Birch tar in this soap!The aroma alone says it's more potent than other tar soaps out there. Also, I've never tried Birch tar soap before, so it will be interesting to rate it versus Pine tar products. The Birch tar, I believe, has important plant chemicals like Betulin and Betulinic Acid in some measure.I'll update this review after a longer-term trial of the product, however, I'm sure it's going tobe a potent tonic for this aging dermis.
