Product Description Following closely in the verve of pop-tunesmiths of yesteryear, California-based 5 piece The Young Veins arrive with their debut, Take A Vacation!, on June 8th (One Haven Music), produced by Alex Greenwald (Phantom Planet) and Rob Mathes (Panic! At The Disco, Carly Simon, Lou Reed).Ryan Ross has spent the better part of his late teens as the chief songwriter, guitarist and vocals for the wildly popular Las Vegas band, Panic! at the Disco. Throughout the band s two albums, Ryan exhibited a writing progression that began to fall increasingly outside the lines of the band s context. While Panic! were on their last world tour for Pretty. Odd, it became clear that Ross s and bandmate/co-writer Jon Walker s newest compositions needed a more fitting home. Ross and Walker picked up and moved west to California, forming their new quarters under the moniker - The Young Veins. Review The Young Veins has legs of its own to stand on. And arteries that are chock-full with the blood of past masters. --Spin

Not your Panic at the Disco
Anyone who bought this album probably bought it for the two key members of the band. Ryan Ross and Jon Walker left Panic! at the Disco admist problems with Brendon and Spencer, and the direction. This was the direction Ryan and Jon wanted to take Panic in, and it isn't what Brendon and Spencer wanted.Does that make any of them awful people? No, of course not. This is actually a gorgeous piece of work. IF you loved Pretty. Odd by Panic! then you will absolutely love this album. It's great for lovers of Peter and Gordon, The Beatles, The Monkee's, and various other 60's pop bands. With songs like "Cape Town," and "Defiance," it's a "lay in bed, stare at the wall, and ponder life," piece. "Nothing Matters But You," is the bonus song featuring Ryan and his girlfriend Z-Berg of the band "The Like." That song alone, is enough to make anyone want this piece. It's a gorgeous love song and over all a calming piece.Take a Vacation! isn't for everyone, but you will definitely love it if a fan of the 60's music.

I Love Ryan Ross
This album is good but would never compare (in my opinion) to Ryan Ross' and Jon Walker's work with Panic! I love that we get to hear Ryan's voice more and Jon also has a couple of songs as lead vocals. The songs are amazing and give me the sensation of being back in time. Too bad they didn't include their covers in the album (Security, When You Walk Into The Room, Nothing Matters But You), which are also really good.

Great quality, great music
High quality vinyl, jacket, and inner sleeve. LP came with a CD copy, which was an unexpected but nice bonus. As far as the album itself goes, the singers have warm, pleasant voices and the songs are really catchy! The music sounds similar to The Zombies or The Hollies, but still has it's own unique vibe. Fun album!

It's really good. I listened to it with her several times
This album was for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. It's really good. I listened to it with her several times. Highly recommend it. It's kind of vintage 60s sounding. Which I like. His voice is really great. Very pure.

TEST YOUR RECORD AS SOON AS YOU GET IT
First track on the record is warped. The rest of the album sounds fine but it's very frustrating that the first track is messed up. The CD is fine, and actually i love that you get a CD with the record. I guess now i know why it was such a good price for the pair.
