IT’S SO PRETTY
this thread is just gorgeous. It’s a true gold, making it perfect for gold work or in my case matching it to a brocade gold silk. It’s very soft and glides easily though my machine, but also took wax well when I needed some extra strength for a hand sewing project.

Good quality
I do hand applique in wool and cotton. Up 'til now I've only used size 100 silk but I couldn't find any black in that weight, so I ordered this to try it. It worked very well, diappearing into the fabric.

Silk Thread
Beautiful thread. Harder to find 100% Silk thread. Perfect color for mending men's tie.

SILK
So what I did not know buying this is some things.First: Silk tangles EASILY. Like blink and you have a knot.Second: this is a small sized roll. But the thread is stronger MUCH stronger than cotton.Love the color, but still struggling to keep my thread together and not in a knot. Will try wax next.

Silk thread
I love hand sewing with silk thread...I appreciate the quality & the fact that it doesn't knot up. The stitches are elegant on the finished product. Thankyou I will purchase again.

Great to work with
I’ve just been using it for ladder stitches, finishing stuff invisibly. It’s perfect and works so smoothly. Much less fuss.

it just slip through cloth like through butter
100% silk thread is always such a giant leap above the rest. It's expensive, of course, but if you try it once, you will not be able to do without it. The feel is , well, silken. That is to say, it just slip through cloth like through butter. It never tangles or knots and the colours are brilliant because silk can take dye better that any other fibre. It is also strong and doesn't easily break. I say to myself, "I'm worth it." I think that if I choose to make something by hand, using the best of my talent and creativity, why would I even think of using lesser materials. A work is judged by it's weakest link, isn't it?

Skinnier spool but nice silk thread
Smaller/thinner than the spool shown in the photo. Colour is pretty accurate if not just a little lighter in person which worked out well for me! Thread is quite strong but the one other brand of silk thread I have is stronger.

It is not silk. Very easy to break.
It is not silk. Very easy to break. It has very small amount of thread and has Walmart basic threads quality.
