King of the Kimura

This is an excellent video that shows a myriad of ways to hit the kimura. It is personally my favorite submission. Chris not only demos different setups but also advises how to counter it, how to use it to transition to other submissions, and when to abandon the kimura attempt. After studying the video (the slo-mo really helps), I was able to transition to a great armbar on a training partner after he defended my initial kimura attempt. There are a few of his techniques however, that I am going to have to practice a lot more. One thing that I did not find on the DVD was a good explanation of the mechanics of the kimura that make is so effective (e.g. how the position of the elbow relative to the shoulder affects success and why). Overall, a great DVD.

All I can say is that its a must have for any grappler. Loads of tec & tips for learning the kimura,ude garami or top/double wrist lock. Opened my eyes to a whole new world of possiblities. Could not be happier w/ its content.
