Clean the liver, clean the life
There is so much in this book that makes sense. Dr. Cabot, in the simplest way, explains how having a fatty liver jeopardizes ones overall health. I know my liver can't be in good shape. What is pretty obvious is even more so once I completed the symptoms checklist. If the reader would like to get tested, Cabot recommends blood work to get in case the reader is unable to take the pricier ultrasound or MRI. Even without taking tests, I know that with my drinking and my gallstones, I need to start reversing the damage I'm doing on my liver before I start to see serious issues.Good news is that the liver can be repaired. Cabot gives the reader ways to detox such as liver tonics, juicing and plenty of recipes that will work with ones body to help the repair process. What I liked about this book, besides the directness of Dr. Cabot, were the testimonials. The biggest one in the book was from Dr. Eanelli. He was able to make major changes in his life. It just goes to show that even doctors can sometimes lose their way...I don't know if I'm ready to incorporate all of Cabot's suggestions into my diet, but there are quite a few I'm willing to try. I would love to start seeing items I've checked on Cabot's symptom check list start to fall off! What I like also about this book is that Cabot's gives the reader plenty of resources for their journey. She gives email address for questions and websites to further ones research on a new path. This is a book I will keep on my shelf. I think I'll be referring back to it for quite some time.

Transformational Cookbook/Program
Im not paid or gifted with coupons and discounts to write this review. Totally unnecessary. It's from gratitude and relief that I write this review. I now have some power over how I live. Diet is allowing me to bring exercise back into my life, as I have stamina to run and walk for miles. I used to have a fatty liver almost two years ago. How do I know that you might ask? The enzyme numbers and photo of my used-to-be-enlarged-with-yellow-fat liver is back to normal. Pictures don't lie and the astonishment of my doctor is priceless. I was chronically fatigued and perpetually overweight. My doctor assumed that decline is normal with age and saw my liver condition as irreversible. He doesn't get to decide that I do. So I kicked that curse to the curb with the help of Dr Cabott's diet and supplements. Now I'm 40 pounds lighter and have stable weight. Her fatty liver cookbook and the livatone plus supplements reversed my disease and restored my vitality to what it was ten years ago.I stuck with her program and I'm in for the long haul. It took decades of poor eating habits to get to illness. Overtime folks, not over night.

A Gift of great Importance.
To all who need this help and to all who need this help and don't even know it. I have been through the ringer in my life and have needed specified help for specified medical problems. The book "Fatty Liver: You Can Reverse It" is an amazing book that can save innumerable lives. Dr. Sandra Cabot has, in my opinion written a book that everyone forty or older should have and should read, and then some. I could see millions of North Americans and tens of millions, if not, hundreds of millions worldwide who could benefit immensely from this medical advice that involves diet. Millions of lives could be saved and millions more could lead better lives. Why isn't this common knowledge! Why didn't my doctor tell me of this or why hasn't my doctor told me of this so many many years ago. After reading this book and the brutally logical and very easy to understand physiological and biological accountings of how so many of us, are in our lives, with poor or potentially fatal organ functions, primarily the liver, and how we so damaged ourselves, I finally felt I knew my physiology. Dr. Sandra Cabot's book explains this brilliantly as she then goes on to educate us with the most basic and nutritious and common sense diet recovery, in my opinion, ever written in history. To put it succinctly, my liver got better, I lost weight, I lost my insatiable appetite, I gained a vast amount of new physical energy and I felt much better psychologically. I became healthier and had more normal readings on my blood tests, finally! After all these years! There are books and there are books. This book can save and extend your life, not a word of an un-truth, I kid you not, and every other cliche. Everyone should know this information, everyone! Thanks, Dr. Sandra Cabot.

Fatty liver help
I was diagnosed with fatty liver about two years ago and did zilch! I feel really tired and fatigued most of the time and find it hard to lose excess weight. I bought this book and read it all without putting it down, makes so much sense to me and explains why I have the symptoms I do. I am going to follow the guidelines in the book and will update my progress in about 3 months.

Great book!
Just received this book and found it brilliant, well written by Sandra Cabot, who has a clear understanding of the pressures faced by the poor liver. It is easy to follow and full of interesting facts and tips with lots of diet advice and recipes. It is realistic and Dr Thomas Eeanelli's account of addiction and liver abuse is inspiring.I have just been diagnosed with fatty liver due to alcohol consumption, I am not an alcoholic, but a very habitual and regular drinker (bottle of red wine each evening). I stopped drinking 6 weeks ago (without any problem) as soon as my GP told me to, and haven't had any alcohol since. BUT without alcohol, I have gone back to my first true love - sugar. I am not overweight at the moment as I had a gastric band fitted 7 years ago.Now following the diet and losing weight at last - been very difficult to shift anything and have gained a stone I don't want. Early days, but the good, clean, raw veg I am eating has killed my sweet tooth. Full of hope for a healthy liver and positive future.

riveting book
This is such an interesting book, it answers so many questions about what goes on in our bodies and how to eat for health and well-being.I've been following the advice now for just over 2 weeks and have found that the healthy eating plans are easy to follow. I am learning to add different elements bit by bit and am enjoying the benefits already. I know there are no quick fixes when it comes to living a more healthy lifestyle, so I'm doing one day at a time. The great thing is, I haven't felt hungry at all, in fact I feel fuller longer and find I don't crave the wrong things any more. You hear people telling you to eat healthy and do this and that all the time, but I found that by understanding why I should do it made all the difference. This is a great book that informs, encourages and teaches, doesn't treat you like an idiot and doesn't brow beat. I can't say I understand everything first time round, but having the book means I can keep going back to it to clarify all the advice and work out what is right for me. The one thing the book emphasises is that it is not a 'one size fits all' approach that works for everyone, but rather a need to know the right facts before you can tackle your health, well being and weight control issues.I highly recommend this book.

Patience
Well having been diagnosed with NASH (non Alcoholic liver disease ) and scan says fatty liver, I got this. It is superb. Yes of course it is from the US but as they apprently have 56% of adults with this fatty liver disease is it any wonder? Time will tell if her strategies work - it can take years. I am only three months into it.

Advertisement that you pay good money for
Didn't think much of this. From what I read, this was just an advertisement for other merchandise that the writer of the book was selling. "You can reverse it" if you buy this other stuff. Not a philosophy or diet plan, as far as I could see.
