The 1711 is NOT for the Home Analyzers
I I have used the product for at least ten years and recently Amazon, TMS and others were out of stock of the 3-pack cholesterol strips. So per the description on the Amazon web site, I purchased the 25 pack which is sent by TMS. When testing with these strips I am getting values reported that are 50 points lower than a lab performed blood test. I wish I was that healthy!I called the manufacturer, PTS, and they said the 1711 strips are NOT for the home analyzer, only for their professional analyzers.

Like the product
I've been using the CardioChek system for about 4 years now. The system works great for me and my wife. We test once a month. Until recently, I have been able to buy a box of 3 test strips here locally. The expiration dates were almost always more than a year from the time I bought them. This box of 25 will expire eight months from now. That means for me using 2 stips a month I am going to be wasting 9 stips, thats about $3.60 a stip that is wast. Next time, I'll be ordering just a quanty of six (that 2 boxes of 3). In short, the system has worked greatLes Greer

Expiration date is laughable
For a 25-strip package, the expiration date on the one I received was only eight months away! Given that monthly testing is recommended, and that the monitor will not run tests after the expiration date, given that this pack cost me about $90, I have wasted a good deal of money on this order. The company boasts, in its promo material, that the expiration dates of the product it sells are "respectable." Uh, say what???

Test strips expired before listed expiration date - so I couldn't use 8 strips
Accuracy seems reasonable however the last set of strips expired 2 months before their expiration date (the tester said they were expired and wouldn't let us use them, even though the strips showed a later expiration date).

easy ti use
After reading some of tue reviews I was a little leary about ordering this product. I needed to be able to get a total cholesterol and this device provided it. Stips are easy to use.

Thanks for the reviews
I won't be buying from these folks... I have had the common problem as well that the strips stop working even before the typical 8 month away expiration date.
