Traditional South African Cooking

As a South Africa living in the US I'm often asked for traditional Recipes so this book has a great variety of recipes with a little blurb and history on each.

Every recipe in this book is a treasure.

great to learn culture from another country. Easy to follow recipes and very enjoyable book.

South Aftican book with an American title. Was hoping for US measuring and temp settings. And possibly US food alternatives.

Easy to follow and interest recipes

Not bad, few good recipes that you don't often find in South African Cookbooks.

I read the book cover to cover and can't wait to try some of the recipes. I love traveling to South Africa and really enjoy the food which is a mix of so many cultures and unique to SA. The recipes were clear and took the mystery out of dishes I love.

This is the republished version of a Taste of Tradition by the same authors on South African Cooking in 1993 that indicates revisions.This book has been republished several times since its issue in 1993.The recipes for the most part are accompanied by a head note giving information about the dish.The original edition is much less money and available in hard cover.

Bought as a gift but I already have one of her cook books and the recipes are the same. Love her recipes and use them often.

Recipes of past memories

Empfehlenswert ! Mein Mann ist aus Süd-Afrika und wir haben lange genug dort gelebt um bei mir Sehnsucht nach dem einen oder anderem Rezept zu bekommen. Mein Bobotie ist natürlich besser ! Habe das Rezept aber von einer süd-afrikanischen Chefköchin. Eines Tages schreibe ich meine Welt Kochbuch. Bis dahin kann ich dieses nur empfehlen, da die Angaben gut sind.
