SAMURAIIchiban 300mm Pruning Saw Scabbard

I am really impressed with this saw. I used it for an hour straight yesterday, cutting up dead wood (which is harder to cut than live by far)One warning- if you have to hold what you are cutting near the blade, I strongly recommend wearing heavy gloves. This thing is SHARP. I cut dozens of 2-3" hardwood limbs with 3-5 strokes each. The blade is flexible, but stiff enough that it doesn't cut a wavy notch in a large limb that binds the blade like others I've used.The handle fits my hand well- solidly and comfortably.I've never liked folding saws- the only times I almost cut myself were just trying to open the things.The scabbard is really solid and holds the saw firmly. Unfortunately, I am left-handed, and the scabbard isn't reversible, but that's just lefty life.I am a little concerned that you could eventually cut through the scabbard when seating the blade unless you hold it to the front as you push.

This pruning saw is absolutely amazing. I never owned a saw as sharp as this. I cuts through limbs with ease. I wanted to take out a crabapple tree as this tree was in a bad spot, but to rooted to transplant. So I went at it with my 24volt battery operated 12inch chainsaw which did the job mostly, right about then I decided to test the pruning saw and to my amazement, that saw actually cut down the branches quicker then the chainsaw and with little effort. I even tried it on the 5inch trunk and it cut with out much effort and again faster then the little chainsaw. I wished I had purchased this pruning saw a few years ago, but it's never too late. If you do your own pruning and cutting, I can only recommend this saw.

The picture shows a 240 cm saw so I thought that's what I was buying. When I came in the mail a few weeks later I see that is a regular 300 saw. It's a good saw but I needed it to fit inside my backpack nicely and with this 300 blade it barley fits in!

I bought this because it was recommended by Paul Gautschi from the “Back to Eden Film.” I love it. Lightweight but strong.

All japanese garden tools are marvelous. I either misplaced or lost my old pruning saw which had a wooden handle. This one works just as great. It's fun cutting the branches and requires little effort.

This is a great saw. Makes pruning easier as it is nice and sharp. I really like the scabbard because it protects the saw teeth from damage.

A very good saw. Excellent for cutting up blowdowns on mountain trails. Easy to attach to belt.

Ich habe mittlerweile die zweite in Benutzung, die Erste war nach Jahren des intensive Gebrauchs dann doch irgendwann gebrochen. Ich würde mir auch nie wieder eine andere Säge zulegen. Die Schnitthaltigkeit ist überragend! Von der Schärfe träumt jeder, der schon mal im Baum saß und per Hand große Äste absägen wollte. Geht fast von alleine, wenn man's richtig macht. Fünf Sterne plus!

EXCELLENT SAW AS USUALL [SEE MY REVIEW ON THE 330] THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST ONE OF THE SAMURAI SAWS IN MY VAN. I USED TO PURCHASE THESE OFF SEDDONS UNTIL THEY WENT OVER TO SILKY SAWS[WHICH I DID'NT LIKE AS MUCH] SO REALLY GLAD THAT AMAZON SELL THEM .
