Into the Wide

There's not a single song I dislike on this record, but, partly because of the built-in monotony, there's not a single song I really like. I could listen to any one song here and say, "that's nice," But then here it comes again, and again. This is non-stop droning, driving, durgy. Nothing to brighten it up, like "Strange Vine" or tone it down like "Bleeding Bells" on Ode to Sunshine, nothing to inspire like "Devil Knows You're Dead" on History From Below.Just about every great album has a mix of urgent and calming, loud and soft, primitive and delicate. This has no mix at all, just a wall-to-wall sameness that's stultifying.I love Ode and History and listen to them often. If I had this one to do over again, I'd buy the title track and leave the rest on the virtual shelf.Jim

This is the most cohesive Delta Spirit album to date in my opinion. I really like the direction they're headed. The recording and production are really good and the songs sound great. The lyrics are a little weak on a couple songs, but overall I think this is a really good album and worth getting.

All in all great album. At first listen just thought it was okay, after a few more listens have grown to love most, if not all songs. Favorites include: For my Enemy, War Machine and Hold my End Up. Wish they'd put out an acoustic version of the album since it has such raw emotions that should be caught bare with just vocals and the instruments. Here's to hoping!

(UN) fortunately purchased for my husband. He loved it. But I had to listen to it every single time we were in the car together.. No joke. It's a great album. I do enjoy it as well. But seriously. Every road trip, its pretty much expected now.

Took me seeing them perform this live to really fall in love and now I can't get enough. The white vinyl is a killer addition to any collection as well.

Not as good as the self titled record… but not bad.

Phenomenal album by these guys. Certainly my favorite so far. The vinyl has a great presentation and sound. One of my favorites in my collection now.

Introspective, creative, and that wonderful combination of complex arrangement and raw sound that Delta Spirit does so well.

Great band. Sounds rockier thant the previous albums but the voice is always magic

Amo este álbum, los discos (son dos) están impresos en vinyl blanco. Ese cuadro que ven enfrente del músico en la portada es una ventana. Los discos en fundas individuales con diferentes impresiones por ambas caras, por ello el cuadro cambia de imagen. Bueno, y qué decir del álbum, es una obra coleccionable. Si les gusta el soul y el indie rock, amarán este álbum. Es líricamente introspectivo y musicalmente delirante.

Matt Vasquezを中心としたサンディエゴのインディロックバンドDelta Spiritの4作目。前作セルフタイトル作品を更に突き進めたかのような壮大なポップロック。セカンドまでの、ちょい捻くれたフォーク・ロックンロールとは違い、よりアリーナロックな路線に舵をきっており今後売れるバンドになるかも・・・。U2とかPeter Gabriel、Radioheadなんかの影響も感じさせる壮大で幻想的なバラッドロックナンバーが詰まった質の高い作品。National、Coldpray等々が好きなら良いかも・・・。
