Alamos Malbec, Red Wine, 750 mL Bottle

Not a wine expert, but this is very good. This is what I want from a red wine but rarely get.

Enjoyed it. Will get again. Drink wine with dinner several nights per week, so value for the money is important to me. I like reds from this region of the world too.

I’m not a wine connoisseur, but this one was really good. It came right out of the bottle, smooth and between the three of us we drink the whole thing at night. I would say it is on the dry side, but no bitterness. Usually we have wine leftover in the fridge for a couple of days, so that shows our enjoyment.

Malbec is our go-to red wine and at my place, we consider Alamos to be our "house wine." It's inexpensive, flavorful, and easily found in most grocery stores wherever we go. Worth it to upgrade to the purple label reserve if available, but not necessary at all. This is just fine.

This is my new favorite 10.00 bottle of Malbec. I keep a bottle in the pantry. Best served at room temp. It’s very full bodied and has a good mouth feel. I noticed there a sheerness rating on here, well this isn’t sheer at all. Good wine for the price point.

Too expensive. but really a top shelf Malbec selection.

I generally do not like reds, but I will give any a try. This is by far one of the worst in my opinion. It goes from bitter like black coffee, to sour like old cheese, to end with a salty seawater aftertaste. The Soul of the fruit has been ripped out and discarded. There is no redeeming aroma or texture to the flavor. The only reason I didn't pour it out is that I managed to salvage some of it by adding Nuun tablets though this does add to the salty taste by creating sediment at the bottom.
