Salitair Salt Crystal Inhaler

I like the design and function of the Salitair Salt Crystal Inhaler. I've been using it for the past four months with great results...breathing so much better! I continue using my inhaler, but only on rare occassions and a lot less because of the Salitair. Wish I knew about this product years ago.

Having suffered chronic allergy and sinus infections for over twenty years I am DELIGHTED to find a product that alleviates the symptoms almost instantaneously.I do not like take medication because the side effects are often worse than the disorder that it was designed to cure or alleviate.I use the neti pot and received some benefit albeit not lasting. However this treatment has made breathing so much easier and the mucus level is declining rapidly.A minor design draw back is the fact that the bottom of the inhaler has only the filter which leaves it susceptible to contamination when it is stored. It would be nice to have a removable cap/cover that would prevent contamination. I don't feel comfortable placing it on a counter or any surface with the exposed salts. I looked for a link to the manufacturer to make this request to no avail.Great homeopathic treatment. I am willing to buy more once the design omission is corrected.

At first I thought this was going to be a useable product but my eyes got so puffy after a few uses, so I sent it back.

SALITAR Crystal inhalerI like this item and it has given me more energy plus I think it is teaching me to breathe better as in not through my mouth plus I am now exhaling through my nose.The first day, I used it for too long of a time & harmed myself; I would suggest to use it initially for brief periods then building up to a greater length of time. All this device does is pass air through some salt crystals. Apparently, the idea is that somehow salt is inhaled that way. After some use, it seems that this device is no different than just breathing. It's highly doubtful that passing air over a small volume of salt crystals puts any salt into the air. There is a study on the internet (search 'Salitair') that determined using this device had no positive effect.

Don't use it daily as I should, but it seems to help my asthsma and allergies. With all of the rain we've been having, the mold is getting to me. Helps to breath the salt.

I cannot write enough good things about this dry salt inhaler. I have been using it for three days so far, and it has done wonders to ease a recurring dry cough, open up airways, and loosen mucus. For the first time in weeks I can hold a conversation and read without coughing much at all. I've tried many different things over the years and nothing has helped until this. The inhaler has helped from day 1, but improvements have continued each day. I am thrilled to be able to not bother with the steroid inhaler the doctor suggested. I might be tempted to subtract a star on account of the price, as it's a simple plastic device, but the results have been too good.
