6" x 9" Universal Steel Mesh Protective Speaker Grills-Pair

I built a cooler stereo system and purchased a set of Pioneer TS-A6995R 6x9 speakers. The grill those came with was a great design but when using this at the beach or tailgating or at a park the speaker would not be fully covered, so I decided to get these and they fit perfect on those speakers. Great investment to protect them.

Upgraded the speakers in my van, but they didn't come with grille covers and the old stock speaker covers couldn't fit over the new ones. This was the sleakest option I could find that would work for my needs. Pretty easy to install. But I needed to supply my own screws as these came with none. There were also no directions included, but I eventually figured it out.The base plate separates from the actual grilles, so I first screwed the plate to the area of my door surrounding the speaker. Then, I slipped the covers into the bases and bada bing. The little wax (I think) strip that came included is for securing the grilles to their attachment bases. At first, they would pop out every time the door got shut hard. That is until I cut the wax and shoved the pieces into the little track on the base plate before inserting the grille covers. They now hold in place just fine.Instructions would've saved me some time, and so would've screws being included. That's the only reason for docking stars.

This is not a fancy accessory. I needed a neutral slick look to hide my speakers on an oldie: these items perfectly met my need, exactly what I was looking for and for a really fair price!
